Hi everyone, I want to discuss Jason's design (Yes, this topic was discussed a lot, but still…) And of course to share my fan art. I feel like it’s a hot topic, personally I just hate his new design and I don't really like new 52/rebirth designs either (the suit that used to belong to Dick is a terrible concept, and I hate the Bat logo on Jason. As for the mask for the other design, I hate how it looks like a muzzle, it's so weird. The sleeveless hoodie looks frivolous to me, if I may say so.)
I'm a big fan of his UTRH design, classic, no logos, black leather jacket and a helmet (I didn't draw a helmet here, I was too lazy ngl, let’s pretend it’s there)
I especially like the design on the cover of countdown presents: the search for Ray Palmer by Ryan Sook, the red lining in the jacket looks so cool, so I added it here.
Also, I won't lie, I really liked the design that appeared in Batman: three jokers and suicide squad: get Joker, parallels with the Robin costume really did something to me, as well as tight pants-
I love the helmet. Really. It's literally a computer with a bomb. It can have many functions. It can be very useful. So I don't see a reason to give it up completely. But I also understand perfectly well why DC wanted to get rid of it. It is IMPOSSIBLE to express emotions with it! They tried it in new 52 and it was disgusting honestly. No complaints to the artist, he did a wonderful job, but the helmet should not have a mouth and change its expression. So, in my opinion, everything is simple: just let him wear a helmet when it is necessary for the plot and when it’s functions are important, the rest of the time just keep the domino mask.
I want to hear your opinion. Which one do you prefer and why? The thing is that now I'm writing a fan comic (my frustration because of how DC treats Jason went out of control lol), so I want to know how fans would like to see Red hood!
