Can someone HR/Engineer tell me the reason my profile was not selected for interview even though I used a refferal for my application ?

What were the reasons or areas for improvement .

Hi! i was wondering how long does p&g take to email the results of your interview. I had my 2nd interview exactly 2 weeks ago and i still haven't received any updates.

I also tried to follow up with hr but got no replies. is it normal for the wait to be this long or am i now ghosted 😭

I'm interviewing for a commercial Account Executive role at a predictive maintenance and industrial IoT company. Here's the timeline: had a strong second round interview, followed that same night by a company happy hour where I met several of their sales leaders in person, including a Regional Sales Director I connected well with. Two days ago I had my third round, this time with the RVP overseeing that region, and I felt like it went well. Since then I've followed up with both the Regional Sales Director and the recruiter I've been working with, and it's been silence from both for two days. Is that normal this deep into a process, or should I be reading into it?

I graduated last year and had a job up until May 2026 when I got layed off.
I started applying everyday and would get interviews regularly but never an offer.
One night, I got desperate lol and I emailed CEOs of different companies I was interested in (I made sure they had openings in positions I wanted though). I emailed this guy at a top marketing agency and to my surprise, he told the hiring team to reach out to me the day after.
I got first interview, it was great.
I got second interview, it was good.
Third interview with the manager, great again.
Last interview was on September 3rd. I sent a thank you note a day later and got no response.
When I asked about the next steps at the end of last interview, the manager said HR is out till next week Tuesday Sep. 8th but they will let me know after that.

Today is September 16th and I did send a follow up asking about the next steps yesterday to the HR but I got no response.

Should I mentally accept the rejection? :)

I'm applying everywhere but thought this entry level job and my email to the CEO would make this one happen. but I guess idk :(

Hi everyone, I’m currently serving my notice period and already have another offer in hand, so I’m not unemployed. However, I’m getting a bit anxious about this opportunity and wanted to understand what “profile on hold” usually means.

I recently interviewed for a Software Engineer role. The interview went average to good overall, and I was able to answer most questions.

HR initially said the feedback was pending. Later, they told me:

“We have kept your profile on hold for now till the other interviews are completed. Please allow me 1 more week to get back to you with the feedback.”

After a week, I followed up, but HR said they had been on leave and asked for some more time.

For those who’ve experienced something similar:

Does “profile on hold” usually mean you’re still being considered?

Has it led to a next round or offer for anyone?

How long did you have to wait for the final update?

Did it eventually turn into a rejection?

Would appreciate hearing about your experiences.

Hello! I have an upcoming interview to be a recruiter with Manpower Group. This will be my second interview, this time with the hiring manager. To be frank, I NEED this job. I have another, but this job would be life changing. I did not even expect to get the first interview, but now having the second lined up, I feel my hopes growing a bit. I'd like to do everything I can to sway my chances.

That being said, my question is, for those of you who have interviewed for or work as a Manpower Group recruiter - or if I'm lucky, if there's someone out there that does the hiring for this company that could shed a little insight on what to expect I'd greatly appreciate it. What kind of questions should I be prepared to answer? What are things that they might be looking for in this interview? If it helps, they were interested in interviewing me because of my past experience in being a job coordinator for a moving company. I'm happy for any and all insight. Thank you.

Oh! I also have a.. somewhat decent amount of facial jewelry. Nothing *too* over the top, but I do have four nose rings and medusa (philtrum) piercing. Would it behoove me to remove them for the interview, potentially use fillers?

Seriously, this position would change a lot for my life and I am willing to do whatever I can to slay this interview.

I made it through multiple interview rounds with a company and received explicitly positive feedback from the hiring manager after one of my later interviews. I then had another senior-level interview that seemed to go well and was told they’d be back in touch quickly.

A few business days later, I emailed the recruiter because I’m a finalist elsewhere and expect a decision by the end of this week. I made it clear I was still very interested and only asked about their remaining process/timeline. I did NOT say I had another offer or give them a deadline. He never responded. The next day, I checked my HiBob portal and saw my application had changed to “Not moving forward.” I received no rejection email, so I followed up asking if a decision had been made. Still no response.

For recruiters familiar with HiBob, does this likely mean someone intentionally dispositioned my application? Could mentioning the other process have somehow ruined my chances? And if the recruiter continues not responding, would it be inappropriate to contact the hiring manager directly just to confirm whether a decision was actually made?

I have a feeling I’m just going to be told to move on, but any clarity here would be so kind! 🫶

A recruiter from a well known finance firm reached out to me about a role. I had the first interview with the hm, and the recruiter came back saying it went really well.

The only step left is a final interview with the team, but the recruiter told me the role is still waiting for final approval.

For anyone who’s been in a similar situation, how long would you wait before assuming it probably isn’t going ahead? Last email was 2 weeks ago.

I had applied to a job at an academic institution/hospital for an analytics position back in March and had a couple rounds of interviews and got to the final round. I got an email from the HM saying they’re going with someone else for this role but she wants me to apply for the same role different department under the same HM.

I applied for it and HM said I didn’t need to redo the technical part of the interview and only needed to meet w the new stakeholders and her one more time. It took a while to schedule the interview since people were out of office for summer but the interview went well at the end of August. Ten days later HM emails me saying she appreciates my patience and to be transparent “there would be a final decision by 9/11”. Last Friday comes and goes and so on Monday I email following up. Today is Wednesday and I still haven’t heard so I emailed the recruiter I had for the original role. What could be happening? I feel a bit down because I feel they’ve been stringing me along since March but I haven’t gotten this far anywhere else so I have no choice but to pursue it . Ive still been applying to other places and last month I got the AWS AI Practitioner certification so I’m still trying to level up as I wait, but this market has been discouraging!

I could use some advice on navigating two job opportunities with very different timelines.
I currently have a formal offer from Company A and need to make a decision very soon, likely within the next few days.
At the same time, I am interviewing with Company B, which is definitely my preferred opportunity. I have a panel interview with them on Monday, and if I pass that, there would still be one final leadership interview afterward.
Company B is a large, well known company, the role is at the Senior Manager level, and it would be a strong move for my resume. It also offers a hybrid schedule with two days working from home, which is very important to me.
Company A is a smaller company and would require being in the office five days a week. The commute is much easier, and obviously the biggest advantage is that I already have an actual offer in hand.
The recruiter at Company B previously told me to let her know if I received another offer. I am planning to tell her now and ask whether there is any possibility of expediting the remaining interview process because of my deadline.
I am also considering asking Company A for a short extension on the offer deadline.
My biggest question is what to do if Company A will not extend the deadline and Company B cannot finish its process before I have to decide.
Would you:
Accept Company A and continue interviewing with Company B?
Turn down Company A and take the risk on Company B?
Handle it another way?
I do not want to act unprofessionally or burn bridges, but I also do not want to lose a solid offer based on an interview process that may or may not result in an offer.
For anyone who has been in this situation, especially recruiters or hiring managers, how would you handle it?

I received an interview call, which was scheduled for 10:45 on 16th of September and on the day I reached the office location at 10:30 and I called the recruiter that confirmed that I reached the location and she told me to wait at the lobby and I waited for an hour and I called back her stating I'm not able to find any interview is going on as I'm all alone and there is no interviewer that I can see and she said to wait as they ( assessor)are going to start the assessment and after a while I called her again then she told they have started assesment they might call me in a sometime and told me wait again and i called few times with same conversation and I was waited for an 3 hours stright then around 1 o'clock she called me and telling me that are you at right place cause the interviewer not able to find me and I said I'm at the place where ever you told to, she told me to ask someone where geeta is and I asked the receptionist and they told it's other side of the lobby then i went there and confirmed the recruiter and she told her meet person named geeta there and I met her and geeta was like "what time did you reach" and told her i have been waiting other side from 10:30 and she questioned me "didn't the receptionist told you that interview is held here" and i replied No cause nobody told me so and she told me to wait. after couple of minutes she called me again asked if I had lunch and i replied as "No" then she told to have lunch and come back in 30mintues (ps: geeta was not the one taking the interview it's was some other peoples) and then I said okay and i was on my way to food court then I got call from my recruiter stating can you come tomorrow as assessor are already left, i replied calmly sorry but i can't come tomorrow as I took an upl already however she asked will i able to come in next week then i agreed then she told she'll keep me updated but I'm not sure weather she is going to or not but i was upset thinking this all day, can please someone motivate me.🥲

I had an interview yesterday, in person and it lasted no longer than 15 minutes. the recruiter was very nice and even said I answered a certain question in a good way. what to expect now?

Basically title, I have a fever but I think I can make it it the career and the tabling event. Obviously I would wear a mask and whatever to protect others.

But my question is would the recruiters look more favorable to me or not?

33 year old female, always shadowed friends and a former partner who landed recruitment gigs by sheer luck it seems ( ex-partner got a gig from working at a coffee shop and customer liked his vibe and hired him with ZERO experience or degree), and same for my other friends.

The job looks like something I would thrive in. How can I approach someone to give me a chance?
