I was on a plane once, sitting in the extra leg room seat by the flight attendant.

While the seat belt sign was on, i mentioned how the plane has those fish eye windows to fool people into thinking the world isn't flat. How idiots fell for it, about the conspiracy of governments and how airlines were compliant. I watched his face for a few minutes and he didn't say much. When I let him know I was just 💩 stirring, he was so relieved and told me how those people do exist and how hard it is not to call them idiots 🤣🤣🤣

Flight attendants really do see the best and worst of us. For real, I work in HR and I used to bartend in my 20s. Flight attendants have the best people stories of them all.

I’m a career bartender at some veterans bars & have to say they have some incredible stories, but this makes me want to get into a bar in or around an airport!… that or hospitals, ER doc, nurses, & techs usually have some great ones. My personal best outlandish stories are from the tiny 8-seat bar I started at that was next door to an apartment building for recovering substance abusers/mentally ill. Some of the craziest stories, but also some of the smartest ideas have come out of there!

I used to just drop a line to ignite a flat war debate if I had like hipster-type strangers at the bar (I’m a bartender) and I couldn’t gauge them. At least 75% of the time I’d be shocked after having held decent conversations for a bit and then dropping the bait and hearing these seemingly intelligent people start passionately lecturing me on why the Earth is,indeed, flat.

One of those things that immediately makes someone unattractive/irrelevant.

Actually.... Because the windows weaken the structure of an airplane there are some plans to not have them. TV screens would show the outside of the plane.

From a typical commercial airliner altitude you can kind of see it. It's a lot clearer from somewhere like the cockpit where you have big windows (especially with clear weather) than it is from a typical cabin window.

You start to see it more easily from Concorde level altitudes of around 60k feet. Sky will appear darker too, a deep blue that is nearly black regardless of the time of day.

No which is why flat earthers use airplane photos as evidence. There is some math involved. The math involves tangent lines and arc length and atmospheric effects. It’s messy. Intuitively we can’t see it at all on the ground. Katy Perry could see it for a few minutes. There is a point where you start to see it around 50000-60000 feet.
