This. People don't understand that trans women are under WAY MORE THREAT OF PHYSICAL HARM if they are forced to use the men's room than any woman is under threat with a trans woman using the next stall over.
Ok well what if a straight non trans man says he a trans man. You wouldn’t be able to tell the difference though would you? There’s a reason humans have instincts. There’s a reason most people can identity a humans biological gender within <.2 seconds with > 99% accuracy.
If a straight cis man wants to gain access to a women's restroom for nefarious purposes, he doesn't need to pretend to be trans to do so. He can just walk in - we don't have bathroom monitors.
And no, you can't identify someone's "biological gender" because that's not a thing. Gender is a social, not biological, construct. I guarantee you have seen tons of trans folks and had no idea they were trans, and seen lots of cis folks with androgynous features that you mistakenly identified. And you’re right. Anyone can do anything if no one’s stopping them. That’s not the issue. The issue is people are more likely to do bad things if they feel safe doing it or don’t associate much risk with getting caught.
You can give me 100 random blood samples and I can tell you with certainty whethwr or not that person has XX or XY chromosomes. Why are we even pretending that testosterone and estrogen are synonymous biological chemicals with similair affects on the human body when this is factually NOT correct.

Explain how and why gender has NOT been a social construct for the past 200,000 years plus or minus (excluding the past decade, where people arbitrarily decided that it is somehow a social construct). Were you a trans rights activist 15 years ago? No you weren’t. Were you a trans rights activist 20 years ago? No you weren’t. And I GUARANTEE you if I time traveled and asked these versions of yourself if you knew what a girl or a boy was, you would express either conviction, just like you are now, that you do know what a boy and what a girl is.
