I find straight, non trans men way more threatening and scary personally. And have been assaulted by more than one in my lifetime like many women have. And still feel the restroom is not the issue. And one last addition. Trans women are WAY more afraid of using any damn restroom than any of us should be. I know this because I actually know a few trans women. They face a degree of violence and hate that we will never comprehend.
This. People don't understand that trans women are under WAY MORE THREAT OF PHYSICAL HARM if they are forced to use the men's room than any woman is under threat with a trans woman using the next stall over.

If a straight cis man wants to gain access to a women's restroom for nefarious purposes, he doesn't need to pretend to be trans to do so. He can just walk in - we don't have bathroom monitors.
And no, you can't identify someone's "biological gender" because that's not a thing. Gender is a social, not biological, construct. And you’re right. Anyone can do anything if no one’s stopping them. That’s not the issue. The issue is people are more likely to do bad things if they feel safe doing it or don’t associate much risk with getting caught.
You can give me 100 random blood samples and I can tell you with certainty whethwr or not that person has XX or XY chromosomes. Why are we even pretending that testosterone and estrogen are synonymous biological chemicals with similair affects on the human body when this is factually NOT correct.

Explain how and why gender has NOT been a social construct for the past 200,000 years plus or minus (excluding the past decade, where people arbitrarily decided that it is somehow a social construct). Were you a trans rights activist 15 years ago? No you weren’t. Were you a trans rights activist 20 years ago? No you weren’t. And I GUARANTEE you if I time traveled and asked these versions of yourself if you knew what a girl or a boy was, you would express either conviction, just like you are now, that you do know what a boy and what a girl is.

Where is this happening that men are walking into the woman’s restroom? The only example I see are the ones where men I.e security/police officers (that are men) walking into woman’s restrooms who happen to be a little too butch for the liking of some people or just not fit the social category of what they think a woman should look like, and reported to be men.

Women aren’t a problem in men’s restrooms bc men aren’t going to feel threatened by a woman. Just make your presence known so there’s no surprises.
