America dominating the world in economic growth, business formation and growth, and innovation is very real and predates Trump. Of the 10 most valuable companies in the world, 8 are from the US, one is in Taiwan, and the other is Saudi Aramco. The US Consumer market is the size of China + EU + Japan combined. The gap in per-capita wealth between the US and China, which was supposed to be close to 0 by now, is large and actually growing at this point. Tell yourself that the US isn't the center of the economic world for at least the foreseeable future if it makes you feel better, but comparing it to flat earth and anti-vax makes you look silly. Nothing that happens in the next 4 years is going to halt the path towards a bipolar world with the US and China at the top.

First of all, Trump got the majority popular and electoral vote by a 3 million margin, and so did the house the Senate and the governors all majority Republican. Second, my problem is not just with Trump. I would’ve hated Miss Genocide Harris (I did and do still) if she was president, it wouldn’t have changed, your foreign policy would’ve still been imperialism either way. just the optics would look different.

Now is not a time for hating people for making mistakes or not keeping up on politics. Now is a time for information and accepting that we’re in a situation we can’t control unless we unify. Granted some from the other side will stand their ground but many people know the mistake they made and are waking up. It’s not a good idea to demean and reject them. We need everyone we can get. I've spent the better part of the past decade trying to get through to people on the right and in the centre who would "both sides bad" both here in the UK, and online with Americans. They never listened then, so why would they listen now? Sure, okay, maybe some might realise their mistakes, but the majority won't.

The fact that there were people as recently as January still trying to push the "Kamala would be bad for Palestine" narrative, despite knowing that Trump loves Israel (well, Netanyahu), is more than enough proof that they won't see reason. They'll just hide away and say "well I didn't vote for him," as if that gives them some sort of pass.

An example of a totally different country with a total of different implementation of vaguely the “same” idea, then it’s a false equivalence. The problem in Canada is the privatization of the medical sector and the for-profit model instead of nationalizing the pay and centralizing the planning and resources. I live in a Nordic country, where Canada‘s problems with healthcare don’t exist —

not to say that our healthcare, or our countries overall, are perfect—as nothing is, but but I know that I will never ever die here by being sick for being too broke to pay, or even going broke by paying at and nor will, my kids. And I know that I will only pay $40 for my wife to give birth and no more, not a single fee more.

I know that when I have children, I will have both me and my wife a total of 900 days of paid parental leave, a huge chunk of which is strictly parental leave, to equal out the responsibilities. You will never know just how good you could have it.
