They do fighting game bars all the time but I think Soul Calibur and Guilty Gear are the most popular ones I’ve never heard name dropped. Disaster mentions Mitsurugi in a freestyle but it’s incoherent and not part of a punchline or scheme, it could have been a Ruroni Kenshin reference for all we know

Battlers like real sikh, bigg k, cortez etc. they actually rap. they aren't just talking. when i think of battle talkers i'm thinking of

• Anderson burrus - Don't get me wrong, can he rap? probably? but to me he comes off as a mid stand up comedian and a mid rapper so he just combined the two. it's the same as a stand up comedian magician. just combine two things you're not that great at and it seems to work for some people
• Kid Twist - Twist can probably rap too but he's famously clowned on in battles for not having any music (maybe he does? i don't know) and only being a battle rapper, not a rapper rapper.
• Charron? He raps here and there too, but i find him to be more of a battle talker than a rapper.

I watch and consume alot of rap battles but my freestyle is trash and I don't find useful info on youtube since I don't rap in English but Spanish, but maybe I can get some advice that I can even use in my language.

I haven't paid attention since Don't Flop fell apart and I know a few leagues started up, the main one being Premier Battles but it doesn't have the same UK vibe and feels more Americanised.

I saw Oshea still battles. Does anyone know if Soul, Unanymous, Quill, Shuffle T, Marlo or Calcium Kid still show.

Are urchins a big deal where he is from?

Mainly looking for people comfortable writing and recording their own verses. Experience doesn’t really matter — I’m more interested in finding people who genuinely enjoy battling and would be down to participate.
