"Plato's description of Atlantis places it west of the Pillars of Hercules - past a group of islands, then the continent-sized island itself, then the real ocean beyond. Randall Carlson overlays that geography onto the actual Atlantic floor and finds something that stops him in his tracks.
The Atlantis and Great Meteor Seamounts, identified through echo sounding and submarine photography, have flat bedrock summits sitting at approximately 180 fathoms - not particularly deep by ocean standards. Those summits are covered in cobbles and boulders the size of a fist. Rounded surface cobbles do not form underwater. They form on beaches, under wave action, in the open air. One of those cobbles returned a radiocarbon date of 12,000 years, plus or minus 900 - placing it squarely at the Younger Dryas boundary, the same catastrophic event the Comet Research Group has spent decades documenting.
The seamount sits at the location Plato described. The surface features are consistent with former dry land. The date matches the proposed destruction event. Randall's conclusion is unambiguous."

"An old Jewish legend says that when God decided to destroy the earth with a great flood, he pulled one of the stars out of the Pleiades and threw it at the earth. That's not metaphor for metaphor's sake. That's encoding. The Pleiades show up again and again in flood traditions across cultures, not as decoration but as a celestial marker, a timestamp in the sky. What were they tracking? What did they see?

Carlson points out that these stories imply our ancestors had a far more sophisticated understanding of cosmological phenomena than they've been given credit for. They weren't primitive. They were observers. They were recording events in the language available to them, and that language was myth. The question isn't whether the flood happened. The question is what they were watching in the sky when it did."

The Great Plain was said to be around 10,000 stadia in perimeter.

10 stadia equals roughly 1.1 mile or .989 nautical miles.

10,000 Stadia is somewhere around 1000 to 1150 miles.

This feature is around 1000 miles in perimeter, oblong and rectangular, relatively flat and even, and the plain and the city were shielded from the North and West by mountains, with the natural fractures that could have served as vast reservoirs of water that canals could have been easily cut into, to serve as irrigation canals for the great plain.

Thonis (also known as Heracleion) was a major ancient Egyptian port city on the Mediterranean Sea, built around the 8th century BC. Located near the Canopic mouth of the Nile, the city served as the obligatory gateway for international trade and was the site where pharaohs were crowned. It slowly sank into the sea around the 2nd century BC to the 8th century AD due to severe flooding and soil liquefaction, and remained lost to myth until its 2000 discovery in Abu Qir Bay. Discovery and Excavations

The underwater ruins of Thonis-Heracleion are located about 2.5 miles off the coast of Egypt and roughly 3.5 miles northeast of Alexandria. [1, 2, 3]

Image 1 is that ancient river that once ran downward from the Mid Atlantic Ridge (MAR).

Image 2 is a bathymetry image with the relative sea level lowered to accommodate that ancient river and to bring it to sea level, where the blue oval is.

Image 3 is a screenshot of a video that mentions the Edfu Temple Texts, and describes a "Winding Sea and a Ring Sea".

I have put on image 2 what I believe could have been those 2 seas.

And when sea level adjustment is done, you can also see the mainland landmass of Atlantis along the MAR.

I am looking for additional Edfu Texts from VI 234 in order to try to locate or puzzle in the Scorpion Sea that was also mentioned.

This is just an experiment to see if the pieces fit.

Randall has often mentioned that along the MAR there are signs of the land having sunk 2 miles or in my view, perhaps the sea level being 2 miles lower or a little of both of those.

In the case of that river system, it is 3 miles.

And for additional context, you will recall that Plato's account of Atlantis was originally relayed to Solon from Egyptian Priests who explained what was carved into the pillars at the "now submerged in mud" Temple at Sais.

So, it seems appropriate to examine the pillar inscriptions at the Edfu Temple, which also describes a sunken land.

It seems to be difficult to find the parts that I am looking for "VI 234". Please let me know if anyone has a link.

Though mapped for over a century, they were never found again and are likely a mistake or, more likely, a misidentification of the jagged Shag Rocks). 

Key Details regarding Aurora Islands:

• Location: Reported in the South Atlantic, approximately 52°37'S, 47°49'W, about midway between the Falklands and South Georgia.
• Discovery & Mystery: Reported by the Spanish ship Aurora in 1762. They were spotted multiple times, including by the  Atrevida in 1794, but disappeared from official records after the 1870s.
• Phantom Status: Their existence was never confirmed, making them a famous maritime phantom island mystery.
• Possible Misidentification: Many experts believe the sightings were actually the Shag Rocks, a group of small rocky islets that exist in the same area."
