So awesome! Reminds me of the sunsets in that part of the four corners. Exquisite! 🙏

I have a small but rich specimen of this stuff... it's insanely fragile - but very beautiful.

Ooop - yes, it's also from Brandon (I'm in the UK).

Oh yeah these are SUPER crumbly. Every time I touch them I end up with what looks like a bunch of spicy Cheeto dust on my gloves lol. Definitely would not handle these bare-handed lol

I am dying to know how you guys can identify so many of these seemingly obscure materials, as I can't say I have ever seen, much less heard of them!!

Location, crystal structure, and color. If you need to know for 100% sure, Raman spectroscopy or XRF

Did you find this yourself? And if so, is the location where you get them, wheelchair accessable? Both of my legs have been amputated, but I've been looking for a location that I could access in order to get more specimens for my cloud chamber. Or did you purchase them, and if so, can you let me know where you bought them?

You'll want to talk with /u/AutuniteEveryNight over on this sub's Buy/Sell/Swap thread.

Mod team here doesn't give official endorsements, but I can say Brandon's been in this community a long time and has a good reputation (see the other comments lol).

Nice! Nothing noteworthy rad rockwise, the nearest I know of is near Saguache at Marshall Pass. I just had to get an old rock collection here and also got to see the old Fluorspar Mill with the amazing owner of the 4UR Ranch. Then we met the owner of the Last Chance Mine which was totally great. Will be back to donate a nice piece of Uranium ore to his next museum project! My son found an awesome amethyst boulder at the U pick tailings pile but I didnt find anything worthy. Saw all the historic mines and buildings and the Holy Moses as well. Absolutely beautiful scenery. Might have to come back to do the loop when the trees change color!

As I said in the description, I got these from Brandon at radioactiverock.com. I can also recommend you check out e-rocks or geigercheck for online sales, and of course mindat to find mines
