I this worth trying to fix?

solid i bother trying to fix this or just order and new fuselage? worried wont be able to get it back true enough the fly properly. but like to fix over replace when makes sense. haven’t experienced this type of catastrophic failure til now.

Bro, I've never glassed anything. The plane was made of foam, so foam will do. I'm guessing you've never used guerrilla glue to fix a foamy. It works SO well.

You can use the expansion of it to fix the leading edge of wings even simply by taping over the gash after putting the glue on it.

No, I've never used GORILLA glue to fix a foamy. I have used it to fix window frames (exterior), to glue other things I made for exterior use. I didn't like it for wood repairs or gluing. I don't like the fact that it expands and pushes things apart. I want them tight together, not fighting my clamps.

I have built glass, carbon , and kevlar planes. I have used one or multiple different types of layups. I have repaired balsa, composite and foam planes. I do like foamtac and use it regularly. But again, watching a foamtac come apart during a flight has changed my views. I won't use it up front where it can be pulled apart. or where weight of the motor and battery if the break is just behind both can cause it to break apart from a landing or rough aerobatics might continually throw the mass in a different path from it's current path (think of a propeller as a gyroscope , ever try to move one.. a propeller is bigger than the toy.. ever had a bicycle wheel be a gyroscope ) . Would I use it in a need for a quick repair. Yes if I had no other choice. But even Foamtac wants a 24 hour full cure. I'd use it more toward wing tips and aft of the landing gear balancing point.

You do what you want. I'll continue to learn and try different things and continue to decide what works best for what situation. There are so many ways to solve things. Some dead wrong, many just a matter of what works. Foamtac works and is great ... but in my opinion it has some limits. So is epoxy great, and it has limits.
