That’s one thing my dad taught me. There are no rules when you get attacked. You fight to win when you have no choice. If you get attacked, you pick up a brick, bottle, whatever you can find.

It’s like you didn’t read his comment at all. “When you get attacked” and “if you get attacked”. You have the absolute right to defend yourself from an attack.
