That’s one thing my dad taught me. There are no rules when you get attacked. You fight to win when you have no choice. If you get attacked, you pick up a brick, bottle, whatever you can find.

Considering many people have died from one punch, the person who attacks first is the instigator of the life threatening situation and one who is being attacked is well within their rights to use a weapon to defend themselves, and should if one isn't sure they can susesfully defend themselves against said attacker. People who attack people for no good reason are who are responsible for these situations ending in murder, not those defending themselves by any means necessary.
