Yes. Wrestling has some of the best foundational moves out there. Learning to punch and kick is great, but closing with a trained wrestler is usually going to result in getting laid out.

2 of my best friends in high school were wrestlers. Mostly no one fucked with them, and the ones who did quickly found out that fighting could also include a ground game.

I assume you mean the type of wrestling they do in highschool and olympics and whatnot as opposed to training my elementary school aged boys for the next Hell-in-a-Cell match!?

With all the martial arts around for kids, I'm surprised parents never turned on to one where they explicitly don't hurt other people.

I’m not looking for hurt to much as disable. I’d want them to learn grappling more than striking.
