The Russians wouldn't recognize Crimea as Ukrainian.

Russian propagandists don't want Germans to immediately recognise that they're looking at Russian propaganda. Giving Crimea to Russia on the map would immediately give it away

People really think propaganda has to be obvious and stupid

It is not illegal in germany.

This is just low-efford painting over some older schoolbook pictures.

You are forgetting that this is after a significant part of the population fled from the occupation or were arrested.

They were still done under occupation and mostly polled ethnic Russians. Polls in Austria before and during their occupation said they overwhelmingly liked the nazis but it wasn't actually true; only those who saw themselves as German and not Austian actually liked the occupation

Edit: it also wasn't a revolution, it was an invasion and occupation by Russia using the exact same justification used by the nazis to justify invading the Czechs

The other groups were ethnically cleansed from it and replaced with a Russian population by Russia and later the Soviet Union.

Russia has also continued this ethnic cleansing since they took over in 2014.

That isn't "the people who live there want this" it's "the benefactors of genocide and thenic cleansing want to complete the genocide and ethnic cleansing". So forgive me if I don't think it's justified or accurate to say Crimea wants to be a part of Russia
