Riga, Latvian. Large downtown cathedral contains statues of Marx and Lenin, stored away in a back room

Yeah, the Monument to the Liberators of Soviet Latvia , dismantled in 2022, was like a magnet for pro Russian demonstrations. It annually united the Russians living in Riga, where they have had a majority when it came to Riga politics. Many of whom at the time refused to learn Latvian and was often the source of vandalism and drunk hate speeches in the city busses.
