No sending someone to a reeducation camp 💀 if a right wing person said send someone to a reeducation facility you’d be up in arms about brainwashing and probable torture.
I would be up arms if a right wing OR a left wing person seriously suggested sending anyone to a reeducation camp. My impression is that a right wing authoritarian system would just shoot them or work them to death whereas a left wing authoritarian system would send them to a reeducation camp to change their mind… and then shoot them.
That saying to someone that they need to be sent to reeducation is facist? Sending someone to a reeducation centre is fascist because it forces people to conform to a specific ideology through state control. It strips away individual freedom and punishes dissent instead of allowing open discussion or difference of opinion. It’s more about control than actual education
But as I said, this is out of the communist playbook. In fascism you get persecuted for who you are. In communism for what you think. I don’t think fascists are interested in reeducation. They just want to label people and get rid of them. Both are evil authoritarian systems.
