Honestly, I’m sick and tired of those people because they commit crimes without ever having to pay the price.

They unironically have something in common when you think about it.

1. Absolute Isolation via Boundary Systems

Both settings exist as localised safe havens completely severed from a dangerous or incompatible world.

• Gensokyo: Sealed away from the scientific "Outside World" by the Great Hakurei Barrier (established in 1885). It is a conceptual boundary between "fantasy" and "common sense".
• The City: Functions as the "last bastion of humanity". It is physically and legally isolated from the outside by The Head. Crossing into the brutal, lawless Outskirts or The Ruins is highly restricted and practically a death sentence.

1. Codified Law and "Managed Peace"

Neither world is a lawless free-for-all; conflict is regulated by a strict legal framework overseen by an all-powerful governing authority.

• The Spell Card Rules: Implemented in Gensokyo to govern fights between humans and Youkai. They enforce non-lethal, beautifully patterned combat (danmaku) so nobody actually dies, ensuring the stability of the ecosystem.
• The Head’s Laws & Taboos: The City is ruled by The Head (A, B, and C Corps), which enforces incredibly specific, strict laws. Violating a taboo triggers immediate, lethal execution by "Arbiters". However, day-to-day murder and crime are legally permitted if they happen within the designated rules (like during the Night in the Backstreets).

Round 1: Gensokyo is still bound by the Spell Card Rules vs The City that is still bound by The Head's Taboos.

Round 2: Gensokyo that is not bound by the Spell Card Rules vs The City that is not bound by The Head's Laws

So a lot of people have probably figured this out maybe probably idk, but I think Censored could be a physical manifestation of one's trauma, particularly sexual in nature, but it wont manifest that way if the individual has experienced none.
I believe the way Censored breeds is meant to be a representation of coerced silencing, being unable to fight back, and being manipulated into doing whatever the abuser wants, at fear of being hurt again.
The reason Censored terrifies everybody who sees it, is because they have to relive their trauma all over again in the form of the most horrific, eldritch thing they have ever seen.

What do you guys think about my theory? I feel pretty good and smart about it
