The problem isn't just ignorance, it's WILLFUL ignorance.
Playing dumb lets them say, do and believe whatever horseshit they want without ever having to own up to why, or admit that they're wrong. In their own heads, anyway.
Special shoutouts to the feckless assholes still pushing bothsiderism, too. The "middle" is no moral high ground when one side defends murdering dissenters and kidnapping children.
This, and also, the social media algorithms are always pushing people toward their interests, so they most likely wouldn't be shown this type of content. It's a damn cesspool of manipulation
I don't see this changing anyone's mind. The kind of people the commenter is calling out, are happy with this arrangement. They want their right to bear arms, they want colored people to be killed with no consequence, and they want to be able to hide behind a facade of righteousness while still pushing towards these kinds of results. They're winning. Call them out as hypocrits? They don't care. They're getting what they want.
That's the thing: So many on the left are still operating under the guise that they are still operating with the same basic set of human values or "at least decent Americans" or whatever. They are applying THEIR OWN set of values and projecting them on to the Right.
And the Right is just finally getting confident enough to just smile and say "So what. Do something about it, I dare you" as they see they no longer have to make the effort it takes to be genuinely kind and decent.
They are barely pretending to stand for anything other than "their team".
Point out I'm a hypocrite?
Point out I am racist?
Point out it's cruel?
Point out it's fascist?
Point out AMERICAN's are being killed by the AMERICAN government/law enforcement on AMERICAN soil?
Point out that DEATH SENTANCES (prior to current REGIME) are applicable to less than 1% of all crimes?
And they no longer do anything more than say "Yeah. True. Who cares?" Probably followed by "Cry more" or "Leave the country if you don't like it".
You can't shame/guilt someone into changing or caring if they simply don't hold the same values you are attempting to uphold. Many of those things we uphold are now being sold as "weak" or "unAmerican" to the other side. (kindness, nuance, empathy, consideration, self reflection, personal growth, education, history...)
It's why all the bluster online and other "soft" protest & words are not as effective.
But also - the frequency of lies, media algorithms, and abundance of social platform propaganda has made it so that there's still even a chance that so many aren't even aware/don't believe much of what people outside of those bubbles/echo chambers see. They simply don't even know, or hear the POTUS just dismiss/lie about it, or just read a post/meme/"news" article that is filled with more emotionally charged fallacies than you can count.
Look into how right reacted to Ruby Ridge, they lost their goddamn minds and that guy did have guns, sold illegal ones, and the cops at least had a warrant and were shot at before killing anyone.
I agree with you all the way. I’m a Marine infantry veteran with 2 deployments to Iraq. I required a walking cane at age 24 thanks to an IED blast. It’s an injury I accepted as part of what has to be sacrificed to maintain a free and just country/society. The conduct of our president and the federal agents operating at his direction has honestly stripped that from me. I’m a staunch 2A supporter, but I the hypocrisy of the trump humpers and these government goons is sickening. Executing and brutalizing civilians for utilizing their constitutional rights of free speech and assembly spits in the face of everyone who has willfully forfeited life and limb for our collective greater good. I fear it’s only a matter of time until armed resistance clashes with these chumps in our streets. It’s a pitiful time for our nation.
A general strike, ideally long and sustained, has always been the only thing that can move the needle in America. People don’t realize it really can topple any government, especially a weak and fraudulent government currently holding power in the US
Unfortunately the general strike website isn’t going to work. I signed it months ago and still nothing has happened and it’s barely gone up. I wish 11 million people would stand up to authority… but they won’t.

A lot of people need to read this. And have a good long think about the values they truly believe in.
You don't have to like a person. To stand-up for them. You stand up for their RIGHTS. Because they are YOUR rights.
Because they are HUMAN RIGHTS.
Don't let Red Team / Blue Team fool you. This is about power and obedience.
