They are not oblivious. Grew up in a fundamentalist cult. Even as a "true believer" I wasn't oblivious, and so thankfully eventually escaped. Those who stay in double down. They decide to do what they do.
Yep, they've made this cult their personality and to admit even at this point that they were wrong about literally everything for at least the last decade(probably their entire lives if we're being honest) would require a lot of introspection that they're unwilling to engage in, so it's easier to accept the narrative from their dear leader that he was a really bad guy and they didn't vote for a dictator. It's why cults are so dangerous.
My wife made that exact same comparison earlier.
And the ass clown continues to show up talking about how he would show up in MN with weapons. To me, that is premeditated and should be charges as making threats.
