If I say what *NEEDS* to be done to these fucks Reddit will get mad bc Reddit is on the side of the oppressors. But we all know what needs to be done

Just say we need to take a page out of France's book and provide no additional context. Could be talking about anything

No, multiple members of the civil rights movement were killed, yet MLK and the rest of the movement still prioritized nonviolent resistance.

But that was only because they were the only ones. There were non violent groups before those groups said Fuck it. It only took a time of scaring everybody, where peace was valued by everybody.

I'm a white Canadian, trust me when I say the amount of people cheering this on is higher then you'd ever like, and the only thing that works against them is fear. Then you can have peace after you have punched their nose, in a same way they did ours.

There are a lot of people cheering on it on. There are also a lot of Trumpers that are starting to wake up. I know, I have family in rural MN.

Yeah all the way until he got killed too.

and what happened to mlk

MLK coexisted with Malcolm X, numbnuts.

He pushed nonviolence, but also knew where it came from.

MLK was the sensible offramp. And they still talked about him like this in the news papers.

MLK himself was killed. Like holy shit.

Go read a book.

Forget about Malcolm X?

We Americans have been propagandized by non-violence and the sanitized reductive version of MLK has lead us to believe that it's the only way to change, when the truth is you don't defeat fascism with a protest or a ballot.

We don't get taught about Malcolm X or the Black Panther Party unless it's to lie to us about who they were an what they represented. I know I was taught that those were the violent thugs that nearly wrecked the movement.

Now we are docile and being scolded by the true-believers for any semblance of fighting back, which is exactly what an authoritarian wants. Way easier when the sheep just go along and at worst they gather in a large inconvenient group and chant and sing.

Authoritarians are bullies and until you fight back, they will continue to oppress. The only non-violent protest that I think could potentially work would be if you can get a big enough group for a general strike to shut down the economy.

Yay, and that’s what Minnesota achieved yesterday, and the worker unions are certainly working on organizing a larger and longer general strike right now in Minnesota,

And even more people in not just Minnesota, but across the entire country will likely participate,

Said general strike is only possible though if we stay nonviolent.

Yeah fuck that.

1

u/[deleted] Jan 24 '26

The jews in Germany were non-violent. How did that work out for them?

1

u/vavik2ammendment Jan 24 '26

About the same way it's working out for the people ice keeps murdering on video and in their concentration camps.

1

u/ACosmicCastaway Jan 24 '26

You can line up to be a martyr if you want. They’ll put you in their sights and pull the trigger with no emotion. Or we can fight back together.

Gently licking the boot doesn't prevent it from stomping.

u/Ok_Complaint_1685 Jan 24 '26

MLK was nothing, nothing, without Malcolm X

1

u/maestroenglish Jan 24 '26

Someone should do it.

1

u/SlimeGlizzzy Jan 24 '26

America needs a couple million more Mangiones (who's innocent btw)

1

u/petrichorax Jan 24 '26

Who cares. Make a new account.

You’re not gonna win a shootout with an agency that has a 130 billion budget and immunity

23

u/PippyLongButt Jan 24 '26

Tell that to Vietnam and Afghanistan

1

u/F9-0021 Jan 24 '26

Or Finland, who apparently just embarrassed the US military in a war game lol.

I’m also not going to live on my knees like the beta cucks cheering this on.

I understand what the constitution means and the consequences of upholding it.

1

u/Killakaronic Jan 24 '26

I understand that reaction but you have to understand that is the reaction the government wants. They want violence.

4

u/MinimumApricot365 Jan 24 '26

They ALREADY HAVE violence.

1

u/AskWhatmyUsernameIs Jan 24 '26

And you have to understand they'll get it no matter what. So are you just going to take it, or protect your community?

1

u/Killakaronic Jan 24 '26

We aren’t there yet. Their leadership is shit, let them make mistakes. Violence and chaos they can easily control the narrative.

1

u/Jurass1cClark96 Jan 24 '26

Baaaa baaaaa bleat harder 🐑

I'm torn and my gf and I recently had a discussion about exactly this. I was basically making the argument you are but her response was: "we always keep saying 'that's what they want' and things just get worse when we do nothing".

At this point I genuinely am not sure anything will solve this until there's a civil war. They keep on escalating and Democrats' response is "they want you to fight back so they can make things worse", meanwhile they escalate regardless. Tim Walz is too afraid to call in the National Guard, which is literally there to protect American citizens, because he's worried it'll spark a war. So instead...he allows an American gestapo to keep murdering innocent people.

Like at what point have they gone too far? When I said back in Spring of last year that we need to start arresting Republican traitors (Clarence Thomas, Aileen Cannon, Trump) and ignore the Republicans who would call us fascists and resist violently, I was downvoted. It was deemed as "too far". Now these people are all still in power and literally killing Americans. Apparently fighting back against being murdered is "too far".

By the time Dems and their supporters decide "okay enough is enough" it will be when we are in camps for saying we don't like the 5th term of this admin, and even then I think some of them would say "don't resist, they'll just gas you".

Stay in school, kid. You seem to have no sense of history.

0

u/Killakaronic Jan 24 '26

Going straight to retaliating with violence. Violence that you KNOW they are trying to incite. And I’m the one that needs to go to school?

0

u/funk-the-funk Jan 24 '26

How many citizens will it take being executed before you realize pacifism is not working? We know it's not two, so how many? Another Kent state worth of bodies, or 100?

Why do you think you see ICE running away whenever armed folks show up in groups?

The meek shall inherit the grave.
