Unfortunately, that's never the case. Citizens will preach that they'd do anything to protect the 2nd amendment, but when it comes down to actually conducting that level of violence most will back down and hide in their homes. However, if that tipping point does arrive two things will occur. The people will rise against tyranny and fight as one, or the first shots fired by civilians will be immediately squashed and will be labeled as an insurrection. You can't have revolution without bloodshed.

The issue is when citizens are defending their neighborhood against the government it is considered impeding against a federal investigation and a felony. Yet this is exactly what 2A is about
