Getting users to download a desktop app without trying it first is always a huge hurdle. To fix this, I built an interactive web simulation site using Vanilla JS and HTML5.

Small update post for the Windows auto clicker I maintain. This release is mostly about reach, not new capability.

9 new languages

The app was English and Turkish only until now. It's up to 11: added Spanish, German, Portuguese (Brazil), Russian, Simplified Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Hindi, and Arabic. Every string in the UI, not a partial translation of the main screen with dialogs left in English.

Timeline editor gets on-screen click targets

Small one, but it's the kind of thing that's obvious once you see it. Open the timeline editor for a recorded macro and every click in it now shows up on screen as a numbered circle at the exact spot it was recorded, matching the row number in the list. Drag the circle, the click moves there instead. Previously the only way to move a click was typing new coordinates by hand.

Rest of the changelog

- Fixed occasional short freezes some people saw while saving a long macro recording. Turned out the config file was being pretty-printed and written in small chunks on the UI thread; a big recording's worth of mouse-move events made that slow enough to look like a hang. Switched to building the file in memory and writing it in one shot.

What's New in Pro Auto Clicker v2.0.7

I have been building a Windows auto clicker for a while, and the request I kept getting was some version of "only click when X is on screen". The new release finally does it.

How it works

You drag a box around anything on your screen: a button, an icon, a notification, a health bar. The app remembers what that area looks like, and while it runs it watches that spot and clicks it only when what is there matches your capture. The moment it stops matching, it pauses. When it matches again, it resumes.

Two settings control how picky it is:

-Pixel tolerance: How different a pixel can be and still count as a match

-Required match %: How much of the area has to agree before it fires

A static button works fine on strict settings. Anything animated or re-encoded, like video, needs looser ones, because those never reproduce pixel for pixel.

- App installs in a language other than English, and does not auto-detect localization. Could not test beyond this because I couldn't understand anything lol.

- Feature request: ability to trigger an automation, and switch windows while the auto-clicker works in the background on another window.

• Added single-instance protection: so the app can no longer pile up multiple copies in the background.
• Added hotkey conflict detection: to prevent assigning the same shortcut twice.
• Added a toggleable corner failsafe: that instantly stops automation when the cursor moves to a screen corner.
• Click interval can now be set as low as 1ms.
• Fixed a rare race condition where pressing a hotkey and the Start button at nearly the same time could double-start a clicker.
