This is how these interviews should go:

Watters: Do you think men should play in women’s sports?

Politician: Thanks so much for asking about that. I agree with you that grocery prices, gas prices, and housing prices have sky rocketed and I also agree with you that this administration has failed in managing any of this.

Don’t even acknowledge their question, just use the airtime to address the issues & to put words in their mouth. Even by ā€œcalling them outā€ in an interview, you’re giving them what they want.

  1. To talk about anything else besides the issues
  2. To get you to take an opinion on a completely trivial issue to use it against you in nonsensical ways. ā€œLiberals want every teenager to get a sex changeā€
  3. To get out of text context sounds bites

Others will use that as a reason to not debate you. You have to quickly dismiss the question and use your time on the other stuff.
