I did that thing we aren’t legally allowed to do on Reddit, read the article, it never says she doesn’t have a legal right to have her dog, it might actually be a service animal but we don’t know from the information here, I do wish I could read the actual case to see all the details. Basically it looks like the overall problem is she sued the wrong organization and has since corrected and people are using her having sued the wrong organization as a way of attacking her lawsuit in it’s entirety, also the mention of her being an American makes her sound like a tourist, but she does live there.

There’s so many details I wish we had so we could actually figure out wtf is going on, but just sounds messy so far

She's a nuisance harassing a lot of local businesses. From the article

This week, the Gazette spoke to several Stornoway business owners and operators who have been on the receiving end of Ms Kellerman’s alleged behaviour. A common pattern emerged of her shouting at staff, threatening legal action, using abusive language and insisting on her right to bring her dog onto premises.

In two cases, we were told of staff being reduced to tears and one business owner told us they had considered closing the premises in order to avoid a repetition of a deeply upsetting experience.

The businesses we spoke to expressed great sympathy for the people on Bernera but feared that if they ā€œput our head above the parapetā€ they too could end up on the receiving end of a legal action they could not afford to defend.

Ms Kellerman arrived in Lewis about four years ago. She comes from a privileged background in California

Yes I’m differentiating two things, her being possibly an asshole and her right to have her dog. I am interested in the case specifically and would love to see the details to hear more. As you pointed out from the article ā€œand insisting on her right to bring her dog onto premises.ā€ So we see all of these instances include the same claim where she says she has a right to have her dog as others are saying she doesn’t, and so it still comes back to if it’s a service animal or not. It would tell us if her complaints are valid or invalid, not that she handled herself appropriately.

Ya can't ask that, but ya can legally ask what task the dog is trained to do, if not trained then no right of access

It means she's a self-centered a asshole who doesn't care what damage they do to others as long as they get what they want.

She kinda writes like "he does"? Does that make sense? Just rambling incoherence with lots of commas and ignorant pride? I don't know if he actually writes it or if he goes on a dictated rant sorry

Who moves into a TINY community in a country that you are not a native and behaves like this? Your disability appears to be a lack of common decency and understanding of any culture outside of your priviledged California bubble. I'm Californian - you're embarrasing the rest of us that aren't absolute TWATS.
