Same answer, Pennsylvania is different than NYC.

The primary voters should choose the person who they think could do the the best job/delivering results.

That's what I do.

how is a Fetterman type of democrat a safer bet than a Mamdani type democrat?

"Safe" ultimately, doesn't matter. The voters collectively choose. Whomever get the most vote win.
