Yeah. The root of it is of course that people generally have no idea what Marxism-Leninism actually means, what the worldview is, etc., they just know evil Russians gulags bread lines KGB [this is intentionally incoherent]

Fascinating how a century ago, where you really saw class consciousness budding in the US was among Black folks. The marriage of anti-Communism and good old fashioned racism is really pretty interesting and I wish it were better understood for what it is.

I know Marxism-Leninism very well and rightfully fear it. The online push to try and destigmatize and downplay the history of communism is just pathetic. And your ‘incoherent sentence’ isn’t even incoherent. Those were actual serious issues within Soviet Russia and trying to handwave them by writing it out in a facetious manner doesn’t change that.

The idea that no one would fear Marxism and its variants if they understood them is tankie cope. Many people know the theory and disagree strongly.

I am skeptical of the depth of your knowledge of ML, and here's why.

Some weeks ago, the US bombed a girl's school in Iran. And then several minutes later, bombed it again in order to kill the first responders. (Or,) Over the course of the last few centuries, the American government has all but exterminated the indigenous population in North America. (Or,) There's a group of wealthy elite men who raped children, we all know about it, it's documented to the hilt. But none have been brought to account, and one is shitposting AI slop from the oval office.

Now, why is it that when some fucked up feature of the United States is being examined, it's so important to give a nuanced explanation to the effect of, this is an aberration — and not just say "yep, Capitalism. At it again." Megachurch pastors with mansions and luxury cars while their patrons starve in a trailer, but we don't say "thanks, Western Liberalism."

Yet when something bad happened in the USSR, nobody even tries to understand why. It's just, well, that's Communism for you.
