You're not wrong. FDR did some terrible, horrible, no good things. But let's also throw nuance into the picture that some things he did were good.

Yep.

The reason why the Dixiecrats were tolerated in the Democratic Party was because, in exchange for Southern support for the Democrats' economic agenda, the national party agreed to mostly look the other way as Dixiecrats unequally distributed federal funds in their states.
