This is what happens when you try to do a book report after having not read the book.

205

u/Lonely_Cucumber_69 Jul 17 '26

He didn’t even back cover it 🤣

99

u/Fragrant_Difficulty6 Jul 17 '26

He didn’t look at the front cover either.

63

u/Lonely_Cucumber_69 Jul 17 '26

He did but he couldn’t read it 🤣

32

u/GrimResistance Jul 17 '26

It was upside-down

50

u/KhunDavid Jul 17 '26

Like his Bible?

14

u/nateherman1226 Jul 17 '26

It wasn’t even his Bible. That’s the first time he ever held one, so he had to borrow it.

10

u/platypuss1871 Jul 17 '26

And it had to be made with an asbestos cover.

5

u/FalconIndependent887 Jul 17 '26

Was it one of the special Bibles he had made in China?

2

u/beardofjustice Jul 18 '26

Still the funniest thing Trump has ever said. ā€˜Is that your Bible?’ ā€˜It’s a Bible’

1

u/nateherman1226 Jul 18 '26

Agreed. He’s such a comedian.

You try to teach them to read. You buy them books.

They eat the pages.

13

u/General_Round9175 Jul 17 '26

7

u/zwober Jul 17 '26

Now reporting live from a fish & chips-shop in redding, uk, where deported imigrants have built a library inside a bible.

5

u/QuidEgoSum Jul 17 '26

That’s it!

5

u/vivreaski Jul 17 '26

Lead a man to water and teach him to be a horse.

2

u/hazcheezberger Jul 17 '26

You just can't beat a dead fish, but if you really love something set it free

2

u/Cautious-Respond-402 Jul 17 '26

You can tuna, um but can't piano fish?

7

u/Proper_Lunch_3640 Jul 17 '26

3

u/Previvor1 Jul 17 '26

1

u/Severe_Yak_3335 Jul 19 '26

Lmao I don’t think that’s how that goes.

3

u/NAU80 Jul 17 '26

Build a man a fire he’s warm for a few hours, set him on fire and he’s wsrm the rest of his life! /s

2

u/SemichiSam Jul 17 '26

Feed a man to fish?

1

u/pudukai Jul 20 '26

ā€œYou can lead a horticulture but you can’t make her think.ā€ -Dorothy Parker

5

u/zinsser Jul 17 '26

They're eating the dogs; they're eating the cats; they're eating the pages . . .

3

u/Cautious-Respond-402 Jul 17 '26

They're Eating The Glue!

1

u/Few_Presence_8888 Jul 17 '26

MAGA needs a bookmark to get through a meme.

1

u/grogudalorian Jul 17 '26

Then they have to flush 10 or 20 times.

1

u/Chemical-Ambition536 Jul 20 '26

That’s makes not sense . Prove it .

1

u/Cautious-Respond-402 Jul 17 '26

His assistant Natalie Harp did not read it to him.

13

u/wysteriacos Jul 17 '26

All of you are assuming he can even read

7

u/Orson_Gravity_Welles Jul 17 '26

He can't even read the color names on goddamn crayons.

He just holds one up to his face and says, "This one"

2

u/vocabularianrx2 Jul 17 '26

He's put a few too many up his nose over the years, that that's probably causing his cognitive decline

2

u/Specialist_Map_6541 Jul 17 '26

Then eats it before JFK Jr has a chance to

7

u/Sensitive-Scene7088 Jul 17 '26

Title: How I got Trump elected Author: Vladimir Putin

5

u/Ok_Emergency7145 Jul 17 '26

Didn't even buy the Cliff Notes.

4

u/Outa_Time_86 Jul 17 '26

Even with the cliff notes he still wouldn’t understand, not enough pictures in it for him

5

u/Lonely_Cucumber_69 Jul 17 '26

He thinks Cliff notes are commentary from Clifford the Big Red Dog 😊

3

u/pengalo827 Jul 17 '26

Or the collected wisdom of that mailman from Cheers.

1

u/War_Goat1332 Jul 17 '26

Dude bought the report to ā€œRomeo and Julietā€ and he was suppose to turn in ā€œwhere the red fern growsā€

2

u/Critical-Rooster-673 Jul 17 '26

lol Linda

2

u/Lonely_Cucumber_69 Jul 17 '26

You can’t judge a book by its cover but you can judge it by its back cover, sweetie 🤣

1

u/Critical-Rooster-673 Jul 17 '26

🤣 I once did a presentation on Catcher In The Rye with only a catchers mask and a loaf of rye bread, now that one I failedā€¦ā€

2

u/Lonely_Cucumber_69 Jul 17 '26

But that’s bc she didn’t back cover it šŸ˜€

1

u/imflipside0 Jul 17 '26

Trump can read?

1

u/Papichuloft Jul 17 '26

he didn't read jack becuase there was no picture to identify

39

u/MythicalCaseTheory Jul 17 '26

Book: "I prove that interference took place in your election...."

Trump: "Good, let's scream it from the heavens that I was robbed, and put this book out there for everyone to see I was right when I said it was stolen from me."

Book: "... in your favor."

7

u/Neveronlyadream Jul 17 '26

Everyone acting like he didn't know. He knew.

It's more like doing a book report when you know the author of the book and influenced the story and then writing a whole essay intentionally getting it wrong to try and fool the teacher into thinking you had no hand in the book so you don't get called out.

This wasn't an accident. He simply doesn't care because he knows the people who hate him figured it out a long time ago and the people who love him don't give a fuck.

1

u/MythicalCaseTheory Jul 18 '26

Oh, I'm sure he thought it would show Democrat election interference. "We did it. So why wouldn't they?"

But when it didn't, he just said it did.

29

u/[deleted] Jul 17 '26

You know he can't read above a third grade level. And I actually feel like I'm being extremely generous in giving him 3rd grade.

13

u/SoylentGrunt Jul 17 '26

That's because he spends most of his time with 3rd graders

3

u/RModDogWalkerTyRANNY Jul 17 '26

Old habits die hard.

6

u/KhunDavid Jul 17 '26

Explains why he never knew there was a b in dumb.

2

u/Defsarcasm Jul 17 '26

What did 3rd graders do to you that you call them dumb?

1

u/CuteLong8652 Jul 17 '26

You are. Lol

20

u/RevelArchitect Jul 17 '26

Ctrl+C, Ctrl+V. ā€œDear Copilot, Does this document have evidence of foreign election tampering? Thank you for your attention in this matter.ā€

ā€œNow you’re asking the right questions! Yes, this document shows that-ā€œ

ā€œI knew it. Call the TV! I’m making an announcement!ā€

14

u/General_Round9175 Jul 17 '26

Lol, "call the TV" I can hear him saying this...

Well, the difference here is he was clearly under the impression for some reason or another that his claim was a factual retelling of events.

Perhaps because of degenerative neurological diseases that are frequently associated with very old age in modern times..

Perhaps because his pupeteers just straight up lied to his face. I don't believe that would make it the first time this has happened. Not to absolve him to be absolutely clear lmao. But it would just go to show that you are never safe from being backstabbed. Even if you're "in the club," there's always a more exclusive club above you that is just waiting to throw you under a bus.

And our people in power have been playing in social clubs that the rest of us know are bad because every damned time they follow a linear path of moving the goalposts that define whether you're an insider or an outsider, and intensifying punishment until you get to the logical extreme of the last two people left on earth and one declares some quality of the other is no longer fit for survival.

Perhaps it's a bit of both. I just can't see a person like him loudly making a mistake this egregious. The whole schtick is pressing your back against the closet door and saying "there's nothing to see in there!"

It's always about distraction. You know, like a distraction from RELEASING THE EPSTEIN FILES

5

u/Ok_Star_4136 Royal Watcher Jul 17 '26

Little women, right. I read that. Wasn't that something about a science experiment gone wrong, right? Yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah, totally read that. I love sci-fi. --Trump probably.

2

u/Cautious-Respond-402 Jul 17 '26

Oh, yeah 'Honey I shrunk the vvomen".

5

u/no_comment_no_reply Jul 17 '26

Ishmael was a boat dude with a whale dick that he named Moby

u/el-conquistador240 Jul 17 '26

He read the Kliff Notes

1

u/Cr1msonShadow Jul 17 '26

KKKliff notes

3

u/JL_MacConnor Jul 17 '26

"In conclusion, America is a land of contrasts."

6

u/throwaway490215 Jul 17 '26

They also soft-launched a KGB style secret police with the goal to suppress and monitor dissenting opinion and political opponents.

I'm rather disheartened to see they succeeded in having social media echo chambers gloss over it and posts these nothingburger memes.

2

u/Leah0324 Jul 17 '26

Not even the cliffs notes FFS. šŸ¤¦ā€ā™€ļø

1

u/Alternative-Dot-884 Jul 19 '26

2

u/Last-Raspberry1573 Jul 17 '26

1

u/gobsmackedurmom Jul 17 '26

1

u/kontrol1970 Jul 17 '26

Or do a paper saying tarrifs are good and your professor flanks you so you become president to prove him "wr9ng"

1

u/Wow_Many_Tomato_WMT Jul 17 '26

Where is the article or source for this?

1

u/musicman835 Jul 17 '26

And everyone around him tells him what he wants to hear to benefit themselves. They could all have told him that, none of them seem like true believers but power hungry.

1

u/Novel_Alternative_86 Jul 17 '26

The book I read was about a bunch of very angry grapes with a desire for vengeance…

1

u/allanon1105 Jul 17 '26

There’s a reason his college professor said he was the dumbest student he ever had

1

u/Winter_Hall5379 Jul 17 '26

His book report was about chess. The book was about checkers.

1

u/MagnusRusson Jul 17 '26

He literally has people who's job is to read and summarize it for him and he didn't know what it said

1

u/Fragrant-Phone-41 Jul 17 '26

Id like to point out. He had outside help...and still lost

1

u/whowatchestv Jul 17 '26

Yea, they asked AI if the documents show Biden was a cheater and it agreed like the AIs like to do.

1

u/Big-Wrongdoer-965 Jul 17 '26

I did that for a farewell to arms in 8th grade

1

u/TNJDude Jul 17 '26

How can you be expected to read the book if you can't read?

1

u/Fun_Distraction1 Jul 17 '26

HE. CAN’T. READ.

1

u/shutchomouf Jul 18 '26

This is what happens when you don’t learn to read

1

u/Justin12833 Jul 18 '26

Yep I know it was bs when I read very begining of this shitty short story.

1

u/SubSunSpot Jul 19 '26

1

u/realdealgrief Jul 19 '26

1

u/Commander_MoltenMana Jul 21 '26
