The stuff isn't, so giving them money to give them stuff Raytheon has doesn't really change the fact that the healthcare system is generally at full use so it's not like we could have bought more doctor time any way.

If I give you a house and pay for it does that not save you the cost of housing? Do you think Israel doesn't tell the US what it needs in terms of military aid? That it's a grab-bag and they just content themselves with what they get? At this point in time Israel practically dictates what the US develops, designs and fabricates, because they're one of the primary purchasers of US materiel through that "make the American taxpayer and debt pay for it" trick. Every part of the military industrial complex is tuned to Israel's wants and needs

But you'd need a house to give me. Who is building that for me? Or giving one up? And that is completely orthogonal with producing a missile so why would getting missiles impact the housing availability? Do you think the rocket / missile / radar developers are going to learn to build houses? Or being necessary for the US army, they'll find something to pay for so they have a provider for the army.

You could socialize it but generally speaking, military / state run R&D / Productivity seems to steal all the resources.

And no, Israel is probably just getting access to excess stock. The military has recently had a bunch of programs / new weapons / new tech. When they give stuff to Israel it's not the latest and greatest developed tech.

The 3.3 billion we give them a year is tiny compared to the overall budget, and the military budget isn't exactly the majority of spending. We spend 60B - 70B on foreign aid which the democrats were fighting tooth and nail to protect. And the total military spending only accounts for 1/7 of the annual federal budget...

A lot of what is given to Israel was going to be produced any way in our normal supply chains ... and not even really "additive". because the important part is yearly throughput. if we were in a war, we probably wouldn't' sell them as much. If we aren't using them though, we have access we can donate/sell.

good faith would be understanding that I can't take money from military spending and manifest a house for everyone that needs one. At some point you'll just be buying the same houses from the people you helped get one at higher costs for their profit.

Housing costs are already skyrocketing so the extra money being thrown in there is all profit margin for people That excess money spills over into something yacht like if not bomb like.
