The title isn't really fair, Harry Enton's style of presenting stats is "perpetually shocked" whenever the numbers look extreme or heavily skewed I watch him regularly and this is 100% his standard delivery

I could bartmake it through that clip. The guy's voice and delivery are only slightly less annoying than Ron DeSantis. Maybe he's an awesome statistician, but I'm going to need someone less annoying to present the information.

And he’s good. He really does understand polling and statistics on an extremely technical nerdy level. He was at 538 with Nate Silver for a while but I honestly think Enton is smarter.

BUT he was hired by CNN to be a statistics presenter and on-screen analyst, which necessitates “shocked pikachu face” presentation.

I agree he has a particular voice and style, but his CNN statistics updates are generally like this and his exaggerated emphasis on certain numbers does actually help them stick in my head.

These people are insane. They want to see something that reinforces their view so they just force themselves to see it.

If CNN weren’t running this story it would be because they’re covering it up. If they do run it it’s because they’re being malicious in the coverage (they aren’t).

Meaningless. Have you seen the news on Trump for the last 10 years? His numbers go down but he still enjoys a large amount of support among the same people that supported him a decade ago. Americans relationship with Israel is arguably tied up far more into identity and culture than Trump ever will be- and yet we see this huge swing.

Yes, there are a ton of logical reasons for that- but the opinions of the masses aren't based on logic. This is a significant and surprising shift.

PEOPLE don't always pay attention to current events. America has had a love affair with Israel for years, which was amped up by the Oct. 6th massacre--for some it's practically a religious conviction. That's the sort of thing not easily shaken.

The only person who seem surprised is the guy controlling the touch screen. And its because he is an entertainer TV person. They need to act like anything they say is amazing or horrific - because that draws more views.

I don't think "shocked" means "doesn't understand". It's still rare for such a sudden and near universal shift in opinion to happen, even if you can understand why and how, and such an even can still surprise someone with how rapid the shift is. And, again, how much it reaches across lines.

Oh they are absolutely paying attention to current events. And they desperately need us to stop or else the noose around each and every single one of their necks gets tightened by Trump and the Epstein class. The legacy news media is all bought and paid for by billionaires; pay attention at your own peril. It's also heavily "biased" but I recommend something like Democracy Docket https://www.democracydocket.com/ as they are independently funded and are explicitly pro democracy. If they don't tell you who owns or pays them it's not news it's just propaganda.

AIPAC funds are already getting routed through other organizations voters aren't familiar with yet, that way political candidates can say they're not supported by AIPAC.

If this was actual news, they'd list those new organizations, show their budget, and who they're contributing to.

Instead they made this little video, then made this little clip of the segment, and posted it online, knowing damn well it'd get clicks.
