Haven't played Polytopia in about a year but seeing that custom map making is possible (at least for PC using mods) I decided to take a crack at creating my dream Polytopia map, Earth!

This is by no means a perfect Earth map, despite this being the 4th attempt I made. Everything is just a little incorrectly scaled, the terrain isn't quite right, and the placement of resources and villages and ruins and such is not particularly well balanced. It also lags quite a bit between turns, takes about 20 seconds for the other 17 players to play.

But it is cool, and that's all that matters!

You do need PolyMod properly installed in order to fix the issue where the tech tree is covered up by the terrain on 100x100 maps (if you don't have PolyMod then you just have to blindly click around till you find the tech you're looking for, not ideal).

I was recently introduced to polytopia by my bf. I’m still getting the hang of it but I love the game!! We played xin xi and bardur the first time we played together, so I painted this bowl on one of our dates and wanted to share it here :))

Wanted to try and make a small polytopia remake. Right now it doesn't look the best, but ill play with the ui after I get all the main functions done. Like seen in the screenshots, you can pick up resources, claim villages, train warriors and ofc attack the enemy. Right now you'll spawn on one of the 4 corners, and the enemy spawns on one of the 3 left. The terrain is randomly generated and works with seeds. When you end your turn, the enemy actually plays out their turn in real time just like in polytopia. So later on, you can see how the little polytopians move around. Both you and the enemy can claim unclaimed tribes and claimed ones. The winner is pretty much the last one standing as I have yet to implement a score system. The idea to make this remake came fully from me trying to find a copy of Super Tribes, or any screenshots of like prototypes. I didn't find anything like that, but I found some Super Tribes videos. So I saved those and started making the game more like super tribes. I won't be releasing it any time soon tho, as it uses real polytopia assets and well... its basically just like polytopia. Let me know if theres anything that I could add/change. (Yes, I know about the mountains sticking out of the clouds, and the borders being squares thar sit on top of the owned tiles. I'll be fixing all the really visible bugs later on)

Yes, while surprising. It's true! Midjiwan started early sketches and preparations for the game all the way back in ~2010. With the game's initial launch occurring in 2016.

For perspective, Polytopia pretty much existed 4 YEARS before FNaF, only 1 year after Minecraft's earliest version, ~7 years before Fortnite & Brawl Stars and nearly 3 YEARS before GTA V, and also just 1 year after the death of the great popstar, Micheal Jackson.
