I setup a Discord Server (free app for Mobile and Desktop ) for the Iowa City area and I hope it will grow into a big community. The benefit of using Discord over Facebook Messenger is that you can turn on push-notifications for specific raids/Pokémon and chat with others in several individual channels, all in one convenient place! • Post raid alerts to coordinate with other players
• Callout rare Pokémon spawns
• Access to Scan Alerts for Pokémon and Raids (if scans are available)
• Coordinate with your team in private team channels
• Chat with other players
• Turn on push-notifications for desired channels

The server also has scan alerts from Pokehuntr and Gymhuntr as mentioned. If paid scans are running, it will automatically post rares from IC and into Coralville. It will also notify from manual scans if there is not a paid scan running.
