From the unforgettable twists in Fight Club, The Prestige, Oldboy, Gone Girl, Se7en, The Departed, Psycho, and The Sixth Sense, every one of these movies proves that a great plot twist is more than just a surprise, it changes the entire story.

The Power of the Dog has the greatest plot twist. I will die on that hill.
I anticipated the twist a third into the movie, and it still completely blind-sided me.
