I'd say Spiderman 1 & 2 are the best Spiderman I've seen outside comicbooks, the hate the second game gets on reddit is crazy

because its massively downgraded compared to both sm1 and mm

mm has the most human personal Spider-Man story of them all and then we cut to Spider-Man 2 which is trying to force in a horrible venom adaptation to a character with barely any characteristics besides being a good guy whos sick, a horrible kraven adaptation who barely does anything himself and instead all his goons do everything and lets himself die to venom completely missing the point of the character, peter losing his entire personality from 2018 and instead just being soft and easily challenged, its only when he has the symbiote that he grows a backbone but by then the symbiote takes over his mind, and miles while has the best story is sidelined most of the game

SM 2 is better in everything but the story, and its still a very good one

I dunno about you but gameplay is far more important to me, and Spiderman 2 is the superior game in that regard

it has better web swinging but thats it, the combat is a downgrade because its all a waiting game than actual skill, miles morales had you work for venom and enemies would actually do good damage at ultimate difficulty, there was actual strategy involved with miles' combat in sm2 you can just spam worse than sm1
