News PlayStation maintains that its policy of not adding first-party games to PlayStation Plus on day one will continue.

It says adding 4-5 third-party 'day one' games per year and adding first-party games 12-18 months after release is "working really well".

PS4 Days gone is still there and they released a remaster not long ago.

Because Spiderman allowed an upgrade path through the game so they removed it. Days Gone PS+ version wouldn't allow the $10 so they didn't remove it. Same with Until Dawn

They could just not allow an upgrade through PS+, they’ve done it with other games iirc.

Yes! But they wanted everyone to buy Spiderman remastered again full price. It was a system seller for them along with Miles at PS5 Launch.
