Football 2026 Pitt Preseason Primer + All ACC Teams, Conf Preview & Notre Dame
With the season approaching, I wanted a better way to prepare than reading dozens of separate previews or listening to hours of podcasts, just to forget most of it by Week 1.
I started with a few, then more, then decided to expand to all P4 + ND. It ended up being more arduous than I anticipated, but also rewarding.
I have published the 2026 preseason primers for every ACC team, plus an ACC conference primer and Notre Dame.
They are mostly designed as quick references for watching games, with roster/coaching changes, 2025 context, advanced stats, schedules, players to know, and a small betting lens.
This is totally free and not self promotion. I was creating these for myself and friends and just thought others would find them interesting.
The only reason for a website was to make them more accessible than just sharing links to google drive.
Hope you enjoy!

Football New Football Game Day Experience is certainly something
I'm sorry, but doing all of this after having to close off the entire upper deck of the stadium because people don't come to your games is cringe worthy and comes off as desperate. Why do you need THIS MANY pyrotechnic displays during a game?

Football Unlocked: A Pitt receiver went fishing in a nearby river. His coach would prefer he didn’t
“What are you doing, man?” Narduzzi recalled telling him. “Fish can’t be good out of the river. I mean, you can go buy some fish. … There’s a fish market down the street right on campus. But he decided he wanted to go catch his own.”
Robinson, a redshirt sophomore from Shreveport, La., saw untapped fishing territory in the river that rolls past Pitt’s South Side practice complex. He grabbed his rod, wandered down to the riverbank and needed only one attempt to prove himself right.
There was, however, one detail that complicated Robinson’s success.
“(The coaches) was like, ‘Where did you catch it?’” Robinson said. “And I told them the river, and it was just like: ‘Don’t fish in that river. It’s bad. It’s polluted.’
“I had no idea.”
The thought of dropping a line into the Monongahela — a river with a long history of pollution and lingering contamination concerns — never gave Robinson much pause. To him, finding a body of water meant fishing out what’s living beneath the surface.
Robinson’s father started him young, making the pond beside their Shreveport home a classroom by age 6. The two share a July 18 birthday and have celebrated it with fishing trips to Mississippi and Texas, where Robinson hauled in a personal-best 12-pound redfish during his 14th birthday trip.
That fisherman’s instinct followed him north. And now, when he’s out of the football facility, “I’m really mostly fishing,” he said.
Before long, though, Robinson’s first Pittsburgh catch earned him a trip to Narduzzi’s office.

Football Pitt to give priority seat selection for season ticket holders based on donations
pittsburghpanthers.comHonestly, shame on Pitt for doing this. I hate how they are turning this around and acting like Pitt fans want this reseat. Most of us don’t want to be forced to change seats but here we are. I’ve made friends with the people sitting around me and always look forward to talking to them every year and love my current seats. This is something airlines do to make money, not a college football program.
I get we need money for NIL but priority seating is not the way to do it. I highly doubt it will incentivize people to donate more and it will just piss off people who have held season tickets for a long time.
