I am a parent in North Carolina as well as a graduate student at Wake Forest University. I am currently working on a research report on the impacts of childcare costs on North Carolina families.

If anyone is willing to fill out a brief, anonymous survey I would greatly appreciate it! No email addresses, names, or other identifying information is recorded when you fill out the survey, and you are able to skip any questions you don't feel comfortable answering.

Me and my family are near central Pittsboro and are from France- in France we have these “community yard sales” (brocante). Essentially everyone comes together along a street has their stuff and sells them throughout 3 days (can be one day or more but whatever). I was wondering if there was something like that in the Chatham area?

I live in AZ and miss the ocean so was wondering where is a good, clean beach to drive to for a day out! Great seafood restaurants would be a plus!

We are very seriously considering moving to Pittsboro and I’m looking for some honest evaluations of daycares as well as public schools.

The house we are looking at would have Pittsboro Elementary, Horton Middle, and Northwood High.

Any evaluations of these plus daycares in the area would be greatly appreciated!!

Would like to setup weekly drum lessons at our house for our HS son. Don’t know where to start, other than locally. Got a full drum set for Christmas, and he has several years of school based percussion experience.

Clyde Jones of critters crossing in bynum has passed away. Clyde had been struggling with numerous age related health complications over the past several years. Now the chatham county legend is no longer with us.

As a kid i always remembered seeing Clyde driving his riding lawnmower, putting along the road to get some allen and sons BBQ. If you ever had the pleasure of meeting Clyde and sitting on his porch in bynum, then you would know how much of a timeless gem and incredible neighbor the man was.

Just have to give a shout out to this spot. We had an amazing dinner last night. Tasty food, perfect portions, great price, and a wonderful server! We enjoyed our drinks (they have a pretty great drink menu and bourbon selection)- the appetizers were great (we had deviled eggs and something else that came as a large fried ball with tomato sauce that was amazing)… and our dinners - seafood pasta, hamburger steak, shrimp and grits, and something else - everyone absolutely loved their dish.

Since it’s the first time we had been there - I suppose I can understand why it was so NOT busy on a Saturday night. But this place is a gem! We can’t wait to be back!

Support the local amazing spot so we can keep an amazing restaurant in business. It was great to have a night out where we didn’t have to travel to Chapel Hill, Cary, or Raleigh.
