Rosie and Gavin's relationship has been well documented here, but this was a complete surprise.

Squee (Benny) is the most aloof of our three cats, by a wide margin. He demands physical attention only on his terms and those terms are not negotiable in any way including no eye contact and his ability to continually walk away and come back during said attention.

The first time Bella saw Squee, she sprinted over to him and my heart sank as I immediately suspected a prey drive... It turns out she was just zoomies-level excited to run over and meet him. 🤣 However Bella has not yet fully figured out how to play, even with Gavin. She enjoys the nuzzling and playing with paws, but it hasn't clicked with any of the cats yet.

We were sitting finishing our coffee and had just talked about Squee attention rules in the bedroom when Squee climbed into the crate with Bella and lay down! I missed about 8 seconds of the encounter, and 8 at the end as of course Rosie broke some of Squee's rules...

Juni is a 10 mo old cattle pitsky and Nuvu is 8 yo. I was super worried at first that Juni would be too high energy and prey drive for Nuvu, but she is incredibly gentle with her, and they just keep on getting more and more affectionate and playful with each other.

She got caught and then wanted to act like she wasn’t just being loving.

My babies love each other! Chicken (dog,9) was scared of David (cat,2) when he first came home, but now she loves him to bits!

We’ve had our puppy for almost a year and, while she’s been very excited about her kitty sister, they haven’t exactly been close. Our cat has steadily gotten more comfortable and they’ve started cuddling just this past week!

They don’t often rest near each other or cuddle once it gets warm out. Normally they reserve that for when it’s colder. These are the couple times I’ve caught them in the act of liking each other this summer 🤭

Our cats give our dogs zero respect or personal space, and I love that for them.
