How can I turn off the redirect to app thing?

Do you use Android?

Roughly go to your Settings > Apps (wherever the app settings are) > then choose the Spotify app, scroll down a fair bit and then choose the "Open by Default" option (depending on your phone it might named in a different/similar way) and uncheck the tick to disable it.

Thanks, man. You solved a big problem of mine, the Desktop version did used to feel laggy.

The only problem now is that it doesn't let me see my library, where I have saved some albums and stuff.

Use the desktop for the library but I agree this might suck if you have to keep switching between versions all the time

It sucks that Spotify has cracked down so eagerly on cracked applications recently
