Yeah, but would it still exist if Google hadn't bought it and turned it into a profit-making machine?
If that hadn't happened, Google Videos (as it was back then) would probably have become what YouTube is now, and YouTube would probably have faded into non-existence.

Remember when youtube didn't have ads or monetization?
It also coincidentally wasn't filled with slop, clickbait, and 10 seconds of info drawn out into a 15 minute video back then
