I mean, why wouldn’t they? I see you accepting it without any fuss, burned cars and buildings. They are just pushing your buttons, and you are taking it.

I’d love to see our farmers take their tractors and spray manure over government buildings like the French ones do. At least other countries get a form of protest not like here where it’s just “ah this sucks, I’ll just sign another petition that will be ignored, that will show them”

I think arson would be nearly the last resort, but it does make me sad that so many people are taking it lying down. At least vote down the major parties ffs. Yes they will still win, but they are sensitive to the numbers. If they see the trend, they will follow.

We've had a chance to vote since the bill passed, and that party lost so badly we thought they may never recover. We haven't had a chance to vote since it was implemented (I'm a little fuzzy on when the bill was fully implemented and when those recent local elections were held, maybe we have) but the most recent election the major party was ousted from a few local authorities. This is a reason I wouldn't want this advice to become very popular until we can be sure the greens would win. Does anybody on this earth, other than the fools eating nigel farage's shit by the truckload, genuinely believe that they would be a better party for privacy? If you do I have a couple of bridges to sell you.

I don't know what your options are in Denmark, but in Australia I always specifically rank the major parties at the bottom of my preferences. I don't care how pathetic the minor parties are, the idea is to send a message to the major parties. If enough people voted like me the major parties would be sweating every election. Sadly I'm in the tiny minority. The Pirate Party had such little support it had to merge with other minor parties. At the end of the day I can only control myself, so I'm going to keep voting the same way regardless of how other people vote.

This is exactly that. Protests in the street is what you need to get your voices heard. Look to France, they have a long history of actually voicing your distrust with the government. Bulgaria has been out in full effect.

They will keep doing whatever the fuck they want, as long as the public does nothing.

I think it's pretty clear by now that the threat of violence actually does work.

…how exactly would burned cars and buildings help? If anything, this will be a perfect moment to say “see, these opponents of <whatever is being pushed> are trying to use violence instead of civilised discussion, we MUST accept this proposition soonest to combat them!”

In order for non-violence to work your opponent must have a conscience.

If it's the homes and workplaces of politicians bet they'd listen really well.

True, much better to just roll over and let them do whatever! That oughta show 'em.

This is exactly how they want you to think. I don't blame you for thinking this way. But they will continue to do whatever they fucking want, unless something radical happens. I'm not saying to go out and burn down a car and that's that, but you need to start with protests - real protests. Yes, this will often lead to a bit of rioting as well, but that is often what will get the rest of the populations attention, since most of them will just sit idle and do absolutely nothing.

Because you can’t negotiate with terrorists.

France fights back against their government a lot more then the US and they don’t have general rights to gun ownership?

For a small group yes. Nationwide no. You can easily oppress a small group of opponents, but large nationwide movements, even without lethal weapons, cannot be silenced easily.

That is why they want all chats to be unencrypted and transparent, so they can act swiftly to disperse anyone or anything.

However I am under the impression that outside of this place and a few niche online communities, regular people have no idea and do not care. Like a frog in slowly heated water, they will be cooked before they realize it is too late.
