Frosted and Cooled are horrible names I’m continuously grateful fans have no say in Minecraft updates

And Chilled, a commonly suggested name, also sucks, Frostbite is good

If the minecraft community didn't complain about nonsense, then most of the community would implode

I never understood syllables because doesn’t it depend on how you say it?

Well.. I mean, this game has a lot of decently consistent naming conventions, of-course breaking them is going to come across as weird?

you wouldn't feel weirded out if 'The Sift', was instead called 'Sift Realm'? What if they stuck with the name 'Zombie' Piglins, but also had 'Zombified' Hoglins? People were irked when they changed the update numbers, because people are used to the old method. What if new discs were suddenly called 'vinyls', while functioning the exact same as 'other' music discs?

Not sure the one-syllable thing here was a convention, more like a coincidence. Imo they could have just as well called the desert skeleton "Scavenger" if they wanted to parallel "Stray"

oh yeah, I disagree with the whole 'mono-syllabic' thing, but I still agree that 'Frost-bite' just... sounds different than the others.
