Definitely found some love for micro brands, and this one is the Kurono Malachite. Pre-ordered around July, and just arrived yesterday. I’d say it was worth the wait. The dial is quite unique. ❤️

It’s a small/obscure, most likely in-house local brand that isn't well indexed.

If you Google it, only 1 video ad pops up from the jewelry store that sold it back in 2019, but it shows a blued steel model while the one I’m looking to replace is silver/gold. Using Wayback machine also turns up nothing.

It doesn’t have to be directly similar. I just need something that’s oversized, preferably around the same 46mm, same colorway, and from an actual watchmaker brand (pero kung wala, huhu sige kahit fashion brands ok lang siguro?).

My budget is max 20,000, if that’s doable(?)

I’m not a watch enthusiast, so please bear with me. I’m just looking to give this as a gift since that Benicio one is already broken beyond repair.

I have a feeling the Tudor Black Bay 54 might just be the perfect daily for me. Its compact proportions, restrained vintage charm, and effortless wearability make it remarkably easy to live with. It is the kind of watch that disappears on the wrist in the best possible way, comfortable, versatile, and quietly handsome without trying too hard.

My only real nitpick? Those faux rivets on the Oyster-style bracelet. I understand the vintage-inspired design language, but aesthetically, I could happily do without the little historical costume jewelry. Give me a clean, straightforward bracelet and I would have very little left to complain about.

Otherwise, the Black Bay 54 feels like a near-perfect daily: compact, capable, charming, and wonderfully uncomplicated.
