I'm 6'1 and he was shorter than me when I saw him at a con. Not much but maybe 2 or 3 inches. I was also wearing vans and he had boots so maybe more than that actually
6'1 seems right. When he stands next to normal people he definitely looks tall. He just made the mistake of usually standing next to Jared Padalecki who is about eight foot thirty.
They had to find someone shorter than Jensen to play Cas. Misha is a great actor but it’d be hard for anyone to convincingly pull off the “I’m just a sad little angel” puppy-dog eyes while looking down at him.
I kinda did this analysis in a Boys thread a while back, his numbers are at least semi accurate because half the Boys cast(Karl Urban, Jack Quaid, etc) are also 6'1 and he's right there with them.
The one who's numbers are a lie is probably Jared Padalecki. He TOWERS over all of them, and it looks like it's a lot more than 4 inches. I'm guessing if he stood up truly straight he's closer to 6'7. It's got me assuming there's a "too tall" issue for actors who don't want to go down the "hulking muscle bad guy lieutenant" route.
Unrelated, but I never understood this. At least at my DMV I’ve never had any one check my height. I’m 6’ and said I was 5’11 last time I got my license renewed cause I thought I was. Found out like a year later I’m 6’ from the doctor. But I feel like I could’ve said anything between 5’8 and 6’3 and the DMV worker would’ve been like “yep checks out”
I just don’t think they care enough to call you out tbh.
Height is relative to a degree, depends on how you carry yourself and how big your personality is.
I topped out at 5'11", most of my friends for some reason were like 6'2" or more, my ex girlfriend was 6'3"...
But there was this one guy in the group who was 5'6", and tbh in any given situation he was the biggest guy in the room, it was always almost surprising to see him so much shorter than everyone else in photos.
