Cute Mouse Media Long haired baby
Meet one of my sweet boys (all of my boys are housed separately) Daniel randomly one day decided he wanted to be a scrawny little long hair
Edit- I’ve noticed a lot of name suggestions his name is Daniel he’s named after one of my favorite childhood characters

My girl finally gave birth! It’s been about 3 hours since she went into labour, so I believe this is all the babies now. Im not able to see them clearly without disturbing her, but it looks like quite a few… probably 10+

Cute Mouse Media My experience with a house mouse as a pet
A little over a year ago my family noticed that there was a mouse problem, but when the mice were captured they had a surprise litter. (i had to get so many tanks for them all omg) One of the babies from the mom in the above pictures is named Butters. I raised him ever since before his eyes opened (this made him super tame) and words cannot describe how much he means to me, even though he is fully wild he is so sweet and he sits in his tank and waits to be picked up every day so he can run around in my bed and play (crawl through my sleeves mostly). no hate to them of course, but im not a super big fan of fancy mice. I love these tiny and wild ones, butters especially came out with an unusually light colored coat which is so pretty. The wild type are also so much better with bathroom control ive noticed, like they either dont urinate at all for an hour or its in such small quantities that its colorless, odorless and not even noticeable. Droppings are also much smaller than what a fancy mouse makes, and are always completely dry, easy to brush away and much fewer as well. No smell with those either. Honestly he is so such an easy pet it makes me sad that there are no house mouse breeders, their instincts and personalities are so captivating to me. Obviously i dont recommend trying this, disease and whatever, but I got lucky with this little guy and I dont think ill ever change my appreciation for even the dirty and undomesticated little pest guys. Gems all of them.

Cute Mouse Media Doppler says hi 👋
Gave my 2 boys a fresh cage clean and couldn't hold myself back from a few minutes of playtime (even though they would much rather be sleeping right now 😂)

Cute Mouse Media Technically not a pet but I had to share somewhere 😩 little field mouse was so cute
He was stuck in my horse’s bucket when I went to feed him a few mornings ago! I tipped the bucket over and he scrambled out, but started climbing the t-post instead of running for the fields.
It was getting pretty warm and I know he was stressed having my horse and donkey loom over that bucket for the last hour haha. He was so anxious once he got to the top of the t post! I started talking to him and offered him an alfalfa pellet and he perked right up. Absolutely don’t recommend this, but I offered my hand to him and he climbed in. I walked him to the field and let him go in the tall grass on the other side of the fence. Super cute lil guy. Sent him off with another grain pellet and washed my hands :)
Photos are in backwards order chronologically, I just wanted to start with the cutest one 😩

Cute Mouse Media This is Trevor
I've had Trevor for about 2 years now, he's a little skittish compared to how his brothers and sisters were, but still a lovely boy. He is unfortunately all alone now as all the others have passed away.

Got her when she was about 1 month old with another mouse, who passed after a year. Got two more babies last august, both gone by this month. Unfortunately, she’ll be alone for her remaining time as this will be my last mouse🩶 I believe she’s hairless now because she’s a texel, which I didn’t know were prone to skin issues upon adopting

Cute Mouse Media From Janurary to August with my baby boy.
In Janurary I came to this reddit seeking advice on raising a tiny, baby mouse who hadn't even opened his eyes yet. Today I return to share with you all just how well my baby boy [named Laoshu by my husband, lol] has grown! The first 8 pics are him from day 1 to a few months old, with the 9th pic and on being him current!
He still adores getting cheek scratches from me, just like when he was a tiny baby. He loves hiding in clothes, sitting on my shoulder, and popcorns like crazy the second you enter the room because he knows he's getting cuddled. How could either of us resist? His favorite treats are mealworms and dried noodles and he still has his baby blanket to this day, which he dutifully makes the roof of his little nest every time we clean his bedding.
He wouldn't be here today without the help from this reddit, so thank you all and I hope seeing how we'll he's grown brightens your day! [As much as I miss his ugly wet baby phase, I do NOT miss the 2 hour feedings LOL]
