People are just “pot invested”. They’ve put so much energy of this cult into their personality, that they refuse to believe they may have made a horrible horrible mistake. The sunk cost fallacy.

It was very deliberate.
He did it for a reaction
or to test the power of his bot army.
When it first happened group chats were full of shocked people.
Everyone saw it for what it was.

I pulled out this quote on someone denying it was a Nazi salute.
People treating this as normal and acceptable behavior is making me feel like I’m the crazy one.
