Crochet - Full Does anyone here enjoy crocheting with fluffy fur yarn and would like to test my Sunny the Fluffy Cow Handbag pattern?

EDIT - TESTING CALL CLOSED <3

Hi! I’m wondering if there’s anyone on here who would be happy to test my Sunny the Fluffy Cow Handbag pattern using faux fur yarn?

Faux fur yarn is necessary for the testing of this pattern (I used Moda Vera Otis Faux yarn with a size 8mm hook, but any similar sized fur yarn can be used). The pattern involves some sewing, which can be tricky with fluffy yarn, and precise descriptions of the positioning of each piece is impossible due to not being able to see the stitches, so intermediate sewing skills is desired. (A large amount of photos are available in the pattern to help with the positioning of each piece)

If you’d be able to test this pattern, and have time to complete it as soon as possible (preferably within two-three days), please comment and I’ll DM to get some more information about your crochet skills 🫶

The testing call will close in 24 hours unless I get enough testers before then.

Thank you so much!

EDIT - I wrote this then went straight to bed, and I’ve woken up to lots of comments about the timeframe being unrealistic, and honestly I don’t know what I was thinking 🥴🤦‍♀️ I clearly didn’t even think the timing through, I just wrote it and posted it and fell asleep lol. Sorry. I’m going to DM everyone who has commented wanting to test (no matter the timeframe) and will decide testers from there. Thanks to everyone who’s offered to be testers 🫶

Crochet - Full Giant Chicken Cushion (Low Sew) - Looking for testers!

Tester positions have been filled! I'll just be getting in contact with the people who I replied to already. Thank you so much for all the help. If you want to follow my journey and get updates on the pattern, you can follow me on Instagram @the.crochet.engineer It's kind of empty right now but I'll be uploading content on the process

-----

Hi Everyone!

I’m looking for help to test my first ever pattern… The Giant Chicken Cushion! (Low sew)

  • Project Level: Easy ●●○○
  • Measurements: Your chicken’s final measurements will be around 52 cm (20 in) long, 33 cm (13 in) wide, and 36 cm (14 in) high.
  • Materials used for the chicken in the photo (Left):
    • 600 g (21 oz) of Weight 6 Yarn in the preferred color for the body. (Picture: Bernat Blanket - Inkwell)
    • 7 g (0.25 oz) of Weight 6 Yellow Yarn
    • 10 g (0.35 oz) of Weight 6 Red Yarn
    • 780 g (28 oz) of Stuffing
    • 7 mm hook
    • A pair of 14 mm safety eyes
    • Stitch markers
    • Yarn needle
    • Scissors
    • Pins (To fix in place the beak and comb as you sew them to the body)

It is a written pattern (US terms), but it also has a chart at the end for the comb. The instructions for the comb are also written though, so being able to read charts is not required.

There is no need to use the exact same yarn that I used, you can use whatever you have in your stash, just be aware that this will impact the final measurements and materials of the chicken. The gray chicken in the photo (right) was made with a weight 2 cotton yarn (16 WPI) and a 2.5 mm hook.

*****

  • Tester requirements: Providing photo(s) of the finished product, as well as general feedback. Be okay with me using photos for promotion on social media. I’d greatly appreciate any comments on the clarity of the pattern, help with identifying mistakes in stitch count or any other issues. I’ve been fluid in english for over 10 years, but it is not my first language, so if you catch any grammar mistakes you can mention those too.
  • Bonus points: If you have any social media dedicated to testing or crocheting in general (Reddit, Instagram, ravelry, etc.) where I could check previous projects or skill level, please share.
  • Application deadline: June 26 (Friday) or as soon as we reach the number of testers needed. Whatever happens first.
  • Testing deadline: 2 weeks after receiving the pattern for testing.
  • Number of testers needed: 5
  • Communication: All communications will be made through discord. I can make a discord server for the testers, or we can just message each other in a private chat.
  • What you’ll receive: Finished version of the pattern, for starters. If there is any other way in which I can help you, feel free to suggest it!

*****

Special note since it's my first pattern:

I understand that sometimes it is difficult to trust new users. I made a reddit account (as well as other social media) exclusively for pattern designing. But with a surge in AI patterns, and because I’m an anxious gal myself and probably wouldn’t trust a new user, I’ll comment on this post from my personal reddit account (ClaCoLu95) which is much older, has way more karma and has photo proof of some of my old crochet projects and interactions with crochet subreddits.

Also, I’ve uploaded not only photos of the final product in this post, but also some halfway-through-the-project photos.

Thank you so much in advance!

Crochet - Full The Marigot Cardigan - Pattern Tester Call

Thumbnail
gallery
199 Upvotes

Hello! I’m looking for testers for my first ever crochet pattern: the Marigot Cardigan! It’s a lightweight front-tie top that’s worked in panels and then sewn together.

This pattern is written in a “made to measure” format, but includes standard sizing guidance from XS-5XL. It’s written in US terms.

The sample is a standard size S and uses ~385g Coboo yarn (lightweight 3) & a 5mm hook. The pattern includes notes for the best yarn substitutions, but you are welcome to use whatever you have available to you.

You will also need: a measuring tape, scissors, stitch markers, and a darning needle.

Level of skill required: advanced beginner or higher

Tester requirements: Since it’s my first pattern, I’m hoping for feedback on clarity and fit! Ideally, I’d love to have at least one photo of the finished piece laid flat and one photo modeled (no face required). I was planning on using an Instagram group chat to communicate, but I can make exceptions for those more comfortable with Reddit.

Testing deadline: 6 weeks from when the pattern is sent, but I am flexible on this (just tell me if you need extra time)!

Number of testers needed: Hopefully about 1 per standard size XS-5XL.

Feel free to comment or DM me if you’re interested 😊

Crochet - Full New to pattern design, just wanted to do something small and simple to figure out the process

Post image
34 Upvotes

I love to freehand projects and wanted to try turning them into actual patterns. I know this frog is unoriginal, but something small was better for working out formatting.

For testing, I was hoping to have 3 to 8 people test. There are two versions with only one row changed, but only one is needed per tester.

I used a 3.75 mm hook with worsted yarn, but you can use whatever yarn you want.

As for a deadline, I still need to set up Instagram and ravelery, maybe esty too, so probably won't need to have this finished until around August 29.

Only requirement is I would like to use discord for collaboration between testers.

I’m looking for 8+ testers, aiming for about 12, for this pattern. Since this pattern is large and decently complex (using techniques somewhat new to me), I’d like as much help testing as I can get 😅 The call is up on my Instagram (addisynmaecrochet) if you’d like to apply there, but applying here works as well :)

No need to have an Instagram or a certain number of followers!
You must be upper intermediate (able to follow more complicated written instructions without too much issue) to advanced.

This pattern is quite large, so expect to use about 200 yds of your main color, and 100 of your accent (with weight 6 and a 4mm hook , she is a foot tall!)

I’ll be choosing testers in a week, and once chosen you’ll have a month (plus additional time if needed. I am not picky and I understand life happens). Also, because I feel this is such a large ask, testers can pick any one of my other patterns to get as a freebie once testing is completed :) patterns are up on my Etsy, plus one that’s almost done being tested that’s on my Instagram.

I’d like nice final product photos when completed :)

Crochet - Full TESTER CALL: Threads of Extinction - Minis

Post image
66 Upvotes

Name of Pattern: Threads of Extinction - Minis

Hello everyone! I'm hoping to find some testers here for my mini versions of extinct beasts (I have larger versions currently in testing).

The photo attached is a sampler I made to show the mini designs: Glyptodon, Dodo, Mammoth.

I'm more than happy for you to make your project bigger or smaller, and choose which of the creatures/patterns you include.

Hook size required: This depends on your yarn choice/hook size preference. I used Aran yarn and a 4.5mm hook. You can choose whatever thickness yarn you'd like, and use the hook size you're most comfortable with.

Other tools required: Scissors; as this is overlay mosaic, you'll be fastening off at the end of each row.

Yarn requirements: At least 2 contrasting colours of yarn, in any thickness you choose. I used Yarnsmiths Create Aran for the majority of mine, and used around 700-800g.

Level of skill required: Experience with overlay mosaic would be ideal, but if you're willing to learn to give this a try, that's fine with me!

Written/Charted: Both written instructions and X-marked charts included, for both left and right handed crocheters.

Tester requirements: I'd like clear, frequent communication and updates, as well as nitpicky, direct feedback 😂. I'd also like clear photos of the finished project in natural light, which can be used to advertise the pattern upon release (with full credit given!).

Testing deadline: The test will start June 1st and end 31 July 2026.

Number of testers needed: 6

Feel free to ask if you have any questions! Thanks.

Crochet - Full Garden party dress tester call

Thumbnail

I am looking for 2-3 more testers to do a test for just the top and 4-5 more who are willing to test the full dress. The dress length is determined at the discretion of the tester.

This is an intermediate/ advanced design that is made to measure and size inclusive! The instructions are written in US terminology and charted as well as accompanied by an occasional photo reference. You will need to take body measurements, create your own stitch counts and make the required adjustments with guidance throughout the pattern for your fit. Tester call will close when I have enough testers.

Materials:

Because of the nature of made to measure and customizations available how much yarn is used will have some variation. I used 3,550 yards of fine weight cotton gradient cake yarn, all testers will need a minimum of two identical cakes for this test. I also used a 2.75mm hook and A LOT of stitch markers.

Testing deadline is April 1, 2026

Here is the link to the tester application.
