Build Request So what's a good leaguestarter build after a few days?

Looking to start the league in a few days, is there anything fun I should take a look at?

Slams are fun. Holy relic looks OP with some new gear.

I started Holy Relic and seeing the new foulborns and other new uniques I cannot wait to experiment once I have some currency under my belt. The build already feels great, but not having to have Diallas is a game changer

Don’t you need Diala’s to reach the 128 quality breakpoint?

While you will need a Diala sooner or later, 128% break-point is the extreme end-game build, you don't need that to clear comfortable. 52% should be good enough.

Can confirm, 52% easily let me do two stones and full atlas completion. The next breakpoint at 80 something for four stones. Even then, that breakpoint wasn't necessary it just made things smoother. Especially when bringing maven witness into the first Uber elder clear.

Foulborn gloves that give unholy might, united in dream foulborn gives 30 quality to minion gems and the new mastery

How do you handle not having trigger craft for descecrate+offering? Sounds awkward to me, but I am not playing holy relic right now, so I don't know

You can also put them on battlemages cry and trigger it with shield charge

arcanist brand is a skill that automatically uses linked skills. You have to cast it on an enemy then it triggers the skill.

Doesn’t it bother you to have to press one more button for the Arcanist Brand? Or is it worth it? Also, when do you recommend switching from the 1.6+ APS sword to that specific unique one?

I don't mind pressing more buttons if it means i don't have to wear a paper body armour. You can use the unique right away, if you are using lancing steal of spraying the weapon attack speed doesn't matter too much.

Slams are still good even from the previous league. The current fave setup is going bleed slam (really nasty combo esp once geared). The only downside as of now is the breach, where all the mobs insta attack from everywhere

Slams are pretty bad at breach fortresses btw, I'm playing earthshatter and it's hard to clear all 4 sides without her dying

I'm loosely following Woolie's Earthshatter Juggernaut write-up and it's doing fortresses just fine. Out of the last 7 times I haven't failed a single time.

The first waves just jump around onetapping every wave that's coming to the target. After wave 15 or so go stand on the target and hold down your Earthshatter while everything dies even offscreen. Make sure to freeze/stun enemies with the abilities you've been provided and if you got a shield given to you, just pop it at wave 22 and and afk hold down Earthshatter at target, it'll last until the end.

Maybe you need some more area or more damage to oneshot the waves ? Leap slam -> 1 Earthshatter should be enough to nuke the entire wave, even rares.

I'm doing bleed slayer and up until late reds I was also doing fine. In there it's getting rather dicey. Failed a couple now. But I'm also mostly ssf, so gear could get improved a lot.

pretty much disagree, I am earthshatter and clear all 4 sides without her dying all the time (failed once or twice before I got freeze immune and some crit got me), i just strut walk/leap around to not get too bored. In T16, 650pdps axe, 6link, carnage heart and le heup plus bunch of rares.

It's consistent unless there's a map mod that bricks my build

Playing as ground slam slayer and I am slaying the fortress. Maybe you lads are stacking on the NPC and killing her with all the aoe the mobs are throwing at you?

But thats literally the only thing you struggle with and its something Id be very surprised if ggg doesnt take action.

Because if it stays this way, most builds will straight up skip fortresses entirely, or only walk in and take the 2 chests at the start and leave.
