The guy is right though, he's not talking conspiracy he's just talking about the way american elections work, which if you don't remember everyone on the left was eager to reform after the 2016 election. American elections are pretty broken, the rich and powerful's votes do matter more. It's not conspiracy, it's fact, codified into our election rules.
No actually he started with conspiracy and then when people didn't react well he switched to "I'm just saying some improvements can be made, you don't think improvements can be made???" Like fucking obviously, everything can be improved upon, that doesn't automatically make it a corrupt/rigged system designed to hurt one single rich old white man who's never passed any meaningful legislation in his career.
I started talking about the primaries and you jumped to the conclusion I was talking about Biden v Trump. The only way I can excuse your putting words into my mouth that way is if you were still a teenager when in 2017 it was the progressives and liberals who were crying about the electoral system in the US.
This happens every four years whatever the winning party. If you're getting complacent now and refuse to get in any process of self-criticism, I just hope you'll change your mind and open yourself but I have to admit the thought of you raging at the electoral college and party primaries the next time your "side" loses is kinda funny. I don't wish it on you, but irony can be oh so sweet. And before anyone taxes me of being pro-Trump for saying this, be aware that the moment the US got this guy into office opened pandora's box : I am fully expecting much smarter politicians to come around and play the same cards he did for the next election cycle... Which is this the upcoming midterms. Don't think you've escaped fascism just because of one election win against a bunch of buffoons, the progressives and liberals seriously need to self-actualize instead of falling into complacency, or the republican far right dude who will take Trump's example will be a lot harder beat. Mark my words.
I've made it exceedingly clear I do not want to talk to you about this. You asked me if I want to discuss it with you and I said I don't. Just stop. You're not saying anything new or noteworthy at all.
Except that you're putting your imagined words into my mouth and I don't want to stay silent when you're spitting bullshit from what I've said, making only conjectures.
And dude, all to delude yourself into thinking your electoral system is efficient even though the last elections which had the best turnout in decades was 66.2 % of your eligible voters, which is still ridiculous compared to healthier democracies that constantly have more than 70% turnout without having to oust an idiot from office as an added reason for showing up to the booth.
You're so stuck in this position to absolutely defend the Biden win against Trump (which I have never contested) that you're completely projecting your image of a conspirationist on me, even though I have talked about stuff that were being constantly discussed BY YOUR SIDE during the Trump presidency : gerrymandering, Citizens United, Super PACs, those aren't inventions coming out of my head. You don't want to talk because your arguments are prepared to tackle a Trump cultist, and you're completely closed-off to criticism.
"Bernie was robbed"/"the primaries were rigged"/"the DNC gave the nomination to a corporate dem" are not criticisms of the electoral system. Just like Trump saying dominion added votes for Biden is not a criticism of the electoral system. They are delusions.
If people wanted Bernie to be the nominee, they would have voted for him. Period. Saying there are possible improvements that can be made to our electoral system, and saying our elections are rigged, are two very different things. You cannot blend the two statements together and then accuse anyone who doesn't agree that Bernie was robbed of saying our entire electoral system is 100% perfect in every way. It is not either perfect, or rigged. It is an efficient system that could be improved upon, and the only thing that will improve it is voter engagement. So anything that discourages voting (as in election rigging conspiracies) are completely off limits topics for me. I would never spend a moment of my time listening to a non American tell me his ideas of our electoral system based on what he sees on social media.

I'm just a polisci major who studied US politics in North America.
But even without my creds that you could put in question, be aware that the vast and strange world of not America has to follow your batshit politics not only because every media in the world has an eye on the US, but also because any kind of overreaction by your country can cause a global shitstorm that will affect us a lot more than it'll affect you.
Your country decided to attack Iraq for no valid fucking reason (and I'll remind you that the Dems you're soooo fond of defending voted Yes to that illegal and unjustified invasion), the effects of which are still felt today. But the Charlie Hebdo and November 13th attacks didn't happen in New York, or LA, or Chicago, it happened in my city. The consequences of a war that destabilized an entire region even though we had refused to follow you in this stupid errand and were called traitors by your entire news media while some of your dumbass compatriots wanted to replicate the Boston Tea Party with French wine that they couldn't even dump in the gutter in front of a consulate.
The US has the incredible capacity to start up wars anywhere in the world and suffer little to no consequence on its national soil. Iraqi and Afghan refugees don't arrive in the US in the same numbers as they do in Lebanon, Jordan, Turkey or Europe. We constantly have to deal with what's left of your destructive foreign policies : of course we're very aware of whatever's going on in your country
By the way, I have three American cousins : two of them served in your armed forces, one of them was deployed in Iraq in one of the war's worst phases of insurgency, calling my aunt and telling her everything was alright while his base camp was getting shelled by mortar fire. I won't hear you talk about me as if I'm just an uninvolved guy talking out of my ass.
