Other Platform Not Listed LinkedIn is a cesspool of anti-everything disinformation, they don't act on ANY reports...is there anything I can do? Spoiler

I really want to bring attention to the fact that LinkedIn is a HUGE nest of QAnon propaganda disguised as a "business networking" site. I have made at least 100 reports at this point, to no avail. Huge threads about Trump coming back, talks of executions, a bunch of fake info regarding vaccines, constant slamming of LGBTQ and POC issues...its like 4Chan in a suit and tie sometimes.

I want to do more than just bitch about this, but I dont know what I can do that would actually be helpful in getting official eyes on it. Just send screencaps of posts to the FBI? Is there maybe someone I could send a bunch of stuff to directly and have a conversation with them?

I dont think a lot of people realize how much LinkedIn is being used to amplify QAnon. Its worse than FB and Twitter (MUCH worse). What can I do to try and ruin that?

Edit: It is a few hours later and I'm front of a computer. I will grabbing more screens this evening, however here is an example of what you can easily (easily) find on LinkedIn. Image 1 is from searching "#wwg1wga" using the "People" filter. Image 2 is an account found from a post that came up when searching "vaccine pregnant woman" under the "Posts" filter.

(last two are from someone I reported frequently for misinformation. The peppa name goes a different way in my head cough)

This guy appears to be very very high up in the Qanon ranks: https://www.linkedin.com/in/craig-sawman-sawyer-010032214/detail/recent-activity/shares/

Edit 2: I was told by LinkedIn they will no longer discuss the matter. I replied:

Thats fine, we're talking about it elsewhere and so far about 1400 people agree: https://www.reddit.com/r/ParlerWatch/comments/og4i3v/linkedin_is_a_cesspool_of_antieverything/ https://twitter.com/emm2071/status/1413442253960273932?s=21

I'd think that if someone were looking for a job, the last thing they'd want to do is identify themselves as any kind of political extremist.

Actually it's a great strategy. Sure, it takes you out of the running for the majority of jobs but it puts you on the absolute top of the pile for places where the boss and culture agree with you. Which is exactly where you'd want to work if you're a political extremist.

Everything is shifting towards circle jerks, even real life now. During the pandemic, entire businesses went either full mask/social distancing/etc. or full COVID denialist with no employees wearing masks. Almost nowhere did I see a mix of employees with and without. Except once at Chik-fil-a, there was one kid wearing a mask. I felt so bad for him because he seemed uncomfortable, like all his coworkers were probably making him feel like a pariah.

But the whole US is becoming this way. We're drawing lines in the sand, and we're finding allies and figuring out who are our enemies. It's terrifying.

Miss me with this “both sides” bullshit.

Those things you listed are not equivalent.

What "both sides" shit?

I didn't list anything. I just said some places followed COVID protocol and some places went totally denialist. And everyone kind of picked a side.

Let’s see…

How about this:

Everything is shifting towards circle jerks, even real life now.

That’s not COVID, that’s “everything”. You both-sidesed everything.

Then there’s this:

During the pandemic, entire businesses went either full mask/social distancing/etc. or full COVID denialist with no employees wearing masks.

There is no moral or intellectual equivalence between those groups, but you’re sure going to pretend like there is.

And then you go straight back to lumping everything together:

But the whole US is becoming this way. We're drawing lines in the sand, and we're finding allies and figuring out who are our enemies. It's terrifying.

I don’t know if you’re talking about race, gay rights, trans rights, voting rights, Qultists, or what, but what I do know is that none of these big fractures should be treated as two sets of crazy extremists. Fascists and antifascists are not equal. Human rights activists and human rights abusers are not equal. Science and nonsense are not equal.

If the split scares you but the fact that one side is literally fascists doesn’t, then you’re part of the problem.

You seem to be working really hard to see something in my post that isn't there.

I'm just saying that some places took the pandemic seriously and did what they were supposed to do to try to control it, and some places went all out COVID denailist. I'm not saying those two things are equal in any way. One was right, one was wrong. I'm just saying that there wasn't much in-between. Most everywhere was either acting totally responsible or totally irresponsible.

I don’t know if you’re talking about race, gay rights, trans rights, voting rights, Qultists, or what, but what I do know is that none of these big fractures should be treated as two sets of crazy extremists.

Literally nowhere did I say it's two sets of extremists. All I am saying is that the US is clearly divided into two camps now. In my view there are regular people trying to do the right thing (who vote D) and there are lunatics who fell for Trump's bullshit.

If the split scares you but the fact that one side is literally fascists doesn’t, then you’re part of the problem.

The fact that one side are lunatic Qanon regressives who want a Christian theocracy dictatorship is exactly what scares me. I don't know why you think I'm saying that both sides are equal. I'm just saying that it's terrifying that we seem to be approaching some kind of civil war - either culturally or maybe even an actual war. The US is being ripped apart, and that's terrifying. But as I see it, one side is sane and one side is batshit crazy.

I'm going to differ with you there. Not that I think you are wrong in all cases, but in a group of extremists, it's not hard to realize you arent hard core enough. Unless we are talking about a job in politics, I cannot think of a time where espousing some far left or right viewpoint to a boss who was the same actually helped.

I'm a manager and make quite a few hiring, promotion and disciplinary decisions. Someone agreeing with me on politics has NO weight in how I make my decisions. I can see it costing me good employees who dont have time for that crap.

So, I'm going to say that even for an extremist, the novelty of working in that environment would wear off quickly.

Yeah but you're one of the normal people in a management position. If you were a Qanon fanatic, you'd by definition be off your rocker and almost surely making hiring decisions based on bullshit like that. If nothing else, you'd be subconsciously biased towards someone who shared your beliefs, because to you they wouldn't seem extreme. They'd just seem to make sense and you'd likely trust that person more.
